Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), also known as South Gujarat University, came into existence in 1965. It was established to fulfill the need of having a separate university in South Gujarat. VNGSU is a public-state university, located in Surat with its campus spread over 210 acres. The University has also been re-accredited by NAAC with Grade ‘B+’ in 2022 and is a UGC-recognized university. At present, there are 34 government, 59 grants-in-aid, 190 self-financed colleges, and 150 postgraduate teaching centres affiliated with VNSGU.VNSGU offers many courses at UG, PG, and doctoral levels and has 12 faculty departments including Arts, Commerce, Science, Management studies, and others. The university also offers Diploma programmes in several disciplines. VNSU courses include BSc, BBA, BCom, BA, and several other courses at the UG level. At the PG level, VNSGU offers MBA, MCom, MA, MPT, MSc, MS, and various other courses in many specialisations. VNSGU course admissions are both merit and entrance-based.
