B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2028

Great college for CSE students, offering a perfect balance between academics and a technical club.
Placements: The placement cell is extremely proactive. If you maintain a good CGPA (typically above 8.0) and actively participate in technical clubs like OWASP or FYI, you are highly likely to land a super dream offer package above 10 LPA. The rise in the highest package to 70 LPA in the most recent cycle shows that the industry's trust in the campus talent is growing rapidly.
Infrastructure: The academic blocks house high-end laboratories specifically geared towards B.Tech CSE students. From specialised IoT and Aerospace labs to the Gaming Studio, the resources are designed for hands-on technical work. The campus provides 24/7 secured Wi-Fi with a high-end firewall. This is essential for students who spend their time on GitHub, research portals, or running remote simulations.
Faculty: The teaching quality is at its best when dealing with core technical subjects. Most faculty members are very approachable for research-oriented discussions, whether it's debugging a complex Javascript or refining the logic for an AI diagnostic tool. Beyond the classroom, they are supportive of student-led initiatives. If you are preparing for a technical club induction (like OWASP) or working on a personal project, they often provide the necessary mentorship and resources to help you bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Other: While the core subjects are strong, increasing the frequency of industry-led workshops on fast-moving frameworks (like the latest in Java/React) would keep everyone even further ahead of the curve.

VIT is the worst college.
Placements: Out of approximately 3500 students in our batch, only 300-400 students got placed. The other students are still searching for jobs. The college is not helping them at all, and all students are searching for jobs. In fact, they are asking us to withdraw from placements so that there will be fewer students and they can at least get a good percentage of placements to show for everyone.
Infrastructure: It has the worst facilities. Wi-Fi stops working at exam time. There is a shortage of water in the summer. There is no fire extinguisher. We get very bad food quality. In fact, we will find dead insects in the food. If we say anything, then they will complain to the hostel management, and then the hostel management will get us out of the hostel.
Faculty: Our college has the worst faculty members. First, they don't teach and then fail students by 1 marks. Students are literally facing problems because they are getting debarred at 74 percent attendance when the criteria for the paper is 75. For medical reasons, they are also doing this, as for 1 marks, our class teachers are not allowing students to give their paper so that the college can earn more from the re-registration fee of Rs. 6,000 per subject.
Other: Campus life is good because of friends and events that take place here. I suggest students not take admission here and try to get admission at other places.

Honestly, VIT Bhopal has average placements.
Placements: In our course, around 90% of the students are placed. The highest package is around 10 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte and Biocon. Internship starts from the 3rd year itself, around 90% students get internships. Top roles offered are technology and software roles or research and development roles.
Infrastructure: College has great infrastructure, especially the labs for our course. 24-hour Wi-Fi is present. Hostel facilities are average, there are 2 girls' hostel blocks. Food is average, and there is a canteen inside the hostel. Medical facilities are available at both hostels. Sports and games are conducted from time to time by the college.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified, but teaching depends on teacher to teacher. I think teaching can be made a bit more interactive instead of reading PPTs. The course curriculum is relevant and makes you industry-ready. Semester exams are easy to moderate. The pass percentage is around 75%.
Other: I chose it because I was interested in the Bio field. The best thing about the course is the lab. Improvement is needed in the teaching style. Events and festivals occur from time to time, and campus life is amazing.

Poor infrastructure and very strict rules. Hostel facilities are poor. Low value for money college.
Placements: In the first round of placement, around 20 percent of students got placed. 50 percent of the students got placed on campus placement till the 4th round. The highest package is around 60 LPA in Zomato. The top recruiter is TCS. The lowest package is also from TCS which is around 3 LPA. The average package is around 6 LPA for Computer Science. The university would only allow you to get an internship from certain companies.
Infrastructure: There are 2 academic buildings in this college separated by 2 kms. Sometimes your classes can be right after one another in AB1 and AB2 which creates problems. Wi-Fi is slow (around 10 Mbps). Most of the classrooms are non-AC. College doesn't allow girls to leave the hostel after 6:30 PM. Mess food is decent and there is a bare minimum of medical facilities available. Sports facilities are a bit of a let-down and the pitches are not sports-friendly. MPH only consists of 1 basketball court.
Faculty: All of the teachers have a Ph.D. degree. The course curriculum is similar to that of the private universities. The semester exams are quite moderate. The pass percentage depends on the subject and faculty for example, advanced technical communication has a pass percentage of 98 percent whereas calculus has a pass percentage of 50 percent.
Other: I chose this course for a job guarantee. CSE normally offers the highest package compared to other branches. I would like them to lower the course's difficulty. Events are generally good. The crowd is also good but connectivity is very bad. The nearest town is 30 km away. They offer a scholarship to the top 2 performing students in each district of Madhya Pradesh. This college is not good for extra-curricular activities.

It is quite good among all private universities.
Placements: 93% students are placed from my course in companies like TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, PWC, IBM, with 26 LPA as the highest package, 3.5 LPA as the lowest package and 9 LPA as the average package.
Infrastructure: 24/7 Wi-Fi, digital library, and smart classrooms are available for every department according to need. Hostel is very diverse, like AC and non AC room, premium and non premium block, 1-bed to 8 beds room, flat and bunk beds, veg, non-veg, and Jain mess is provided. Food quality is perfect, with a menu changing from time to time, with the consultation of the student representative and mess authority. Water quality was an issue, but it has been solved now.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. Every faculty have doctor's degree. Teaching quality is satisfying. The course curriculum is very relevant, it is industry-ready and placement-oriented. The difficulty level of the semester exams in the college is average, and the pass percentage is similar to that of other colleges. Although my course is CSE with specialisation in Education Technology, there is no restriction or limitation on this course. We have 70% curriculum similar to CSE core and AIML, so its depend on us whether we want to learn skills and build projects related to Education Technology or for Software and Development. So students preferred to work on skills like software development, data analysis, and full-stack development.
Other: I chose this course because I am a student from a biology background, and this course provides me the opportunity to compete with students who are in the computer science engineering core branch. They should induce C+ in the curriculum. Events are organised by 100+ clubs. Two annual fests are organised by the university (AdVITya and technoVIT). The campus crowd is very small compared to other universities. The campus is far from Bhopal city, but direct transportation is available from the airport, railway station and bus station. Campus surrounding is very peaceful. Scholarship provided during VITEEE. Extra-curricular activities are organised by the Department of Student Welfare.

The experience of VIT Bhopal.
Placements: VIT Bhopal has received a package of Rs. 70 LPA by the 2026 graduation batch. Out of 2,023 students who registered for placements, 874 have received job offers. The average package recorded is around 8 LPA to 10 LPA. The college placements are average but improving gradually.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is well-developed. The only downside is that the academic block 1 is far away from the boys' hostel, and it takes around 20-25 minutes to walk from the hostel to academic block 1. The college has spacious classrooms and computer labs with internet facilities. They also provide you with the internet in every hostel room at a speed of 10 Mbps.
Faculty: The academic environment of the college is good and supportive for students. The teachers are knowledgeable and explain the concepts clearly, except for a few teachers. The curriculum is well structured and relevant to the course, providing both theoretical and practical knowledge.
Other: I chose this course because of the rapid growth of AI in the past few years. The fest here is called The Advitya, which is the heart of the college. It held for 3-4 days, and wherever you go, you'll get to see the event is going on everywhere.
