Silicon India Awards IIAD as The College of The Year 2020
January 25, 2021: Silicon India recently awarded Delhi based one of the renowned design institutes, the Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD) as the College of The Year 2020. The annual recognition showcases educational institutions moulding students into future-ready professionals through the effective curriculum and teaching methodologies.
The institute offers six undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of design. It includes – BA Hons in Fashion Design, BA Hons in Communication Design, BA Hons in Interior Architecture and Design, BA Hons in Fashion Business Management, MA Hons in Fashion Design, MA Hons in Fashion Business Management.

Candidates are selected for IIAD UG and PG programmes on the basis of the following:
- Performance in the IIAD Design Aptitude Test (iDAT) or iMAT (for management programmes)
- Performance in the Studio Test/Personal Interview
- Portfolio review (for some programmes)

The process is similar, but PG applicants (M.Des / MBA) are assessed using iMAT instead of iDAT, and emphasis may be placed more on portfolio, work experience, or interview performance.

No. The IIAD result is final and binding. Re-evaluation is not available as the process includes interviews and subjective assessments.
