MU OET Entrance Exam – Medical & Dental
Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU OET) is an entrance exam conducted by Manipal University, Bangalore for admissions to various postgraduate Medical (MD/MS/Diploma) and Dental (MDS/PG Diploma in Dental Materials) programs offered at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal & Mangalore and Manipal College of Dental Science, Manipal & Mangalore. The exam this year is scheduled to be conducted from February 15 to 24, 2013.
Eligibility:
Candidates must have a MBBS/BDS degree from a recognised university.
Pattern:
MD, MS, and PG Medical Diploma: The two hour test will have 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) of objective type carrying 200 marks. The approximate distribution of questions is given below:
Paediatrics, Genetics, Dermatology & Venereology etc. (40), Surgery including Orthopaedics, Trauma and Anaesthesiology (30), Obstetrics & Gynaecology (20), Community Medicine (20), Physiology (14), Pharmacology (14), Pathology (14), Anatomy (10), Otorhinolaryngology (10), Ophthalmology (10), Biochemistry (6), Microbiology (6), Forensic Medicine (6).
MDS & PG Diploma in Dental Materials: This two hour exam will have one question paper of 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) of objective type carrying 200 marks. The approximate distribution of questions is given below:
Pedodontics (16), Orthodontics (16), Periodontics (16), Oral Medicine & Radiology (16), Prosthodontics (16), Conservative Dentistry (16), Oral Surgery (16), Public Health (16), Human Anatomy (8), Human Physiology including Biochemistry (8), Dental Materials (8), Pharmacology (8), General Pathology & Microbiology (8), Oral Anatomy (8), General Medicine (8), General Surgery (8), Oral Pathology (8).
Important dates:
- Last date for submission of application: January 25, 2013.
- MU OET exam dates (Medical and Dental both): February 15 - 24, 2013.
Admissions to the courses will be done on the scores acquired in MU OET 2013.
