My Journey in Finance with JIMS Kalkaji, Pritish's Success Story

I completed my schooling at JKPS (Jaspal Kaur Public School), an institution that provided an excellent foundation for my overall growth. JKPS emphasized not only academics but also a holistic development approach, allowing students to explore their interests and discover their strengths. The school’s culture fostered my curiosity and helped me build a strong sense of discipline, responsibility, and self-motivation. I was encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities, which improved my teamwork and communication skills. This balanced approach at JKPS laid the groundwork for my intellectual development and prepared me well for the challenges of higher education.
For my undergraduate studies, I chose VIPS (Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies), a reputed institution known for its strong business programs and industry-aligned curriculum. I was drawn to VIPS because of its commitment to quality education, experienced faculty, and a learning environment that combines theoretical knowledge with practical exposure. The college’s emphasis on case studies, industry interactions, and seminars equipped me with a deeper understanding of the business world. Studying at VIPS allowed me to develop a solid grounding in various business domains, particularly finance and accounting, which gradually piqued my interest in pursuing a specialized career in finance. The faculty at VIPS encouraged critical thinking and problem-solving, which are vital skills for the finance sector. I left VIPS with a robust foundation in business studies, eager to further specialize in finance at the postgraduate level.
PGDM at JIMS Kalkaji
After completing my undergraduate degree, I chose to pursue a PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) at JIMS (Jagannath International Management School) with a specialization in finance. JIMS has an excellent reputation in management education, particularly for its finance program, which attracted me to the institution. The PGDM program at JIMS is known for its rigorous curriculum and emphasis on experiential learning. I saw this program as an ideal platform to deepen my knowledge in finance and gain hands-on exposure to real-world financial analysis, decision-making, and management. At JIMS, the finance curriculum provided insights into financial markets, investment analysis, corporate finance, and risk management, which I found both challenging and stimulating. Through projects, case studies, and internships, I was able to apply classroom theories to practical scenarios, sharpening my analytical and quantitative skills.
Additionally, JIMS’s emphasis on personality development and soft skills training enhanced my communication and presentation skills, preparing me to present complex financial data and insights effectively. JIMS’s strong industry connections further allowed me to interact with finance professionals, expanding my network and providing insights into career pathways in finance. My decision to specialize in finance was driven by a deep interest in the field and an appreciation for the role that finance plays in organizational success.
