Not just academically, ISBR has groomed me professionally, too: Shamali Patill
In my school days, I was more inclined towards Mathematics over Biology so I chose PCM group in Class XI-XII. Later, I completed my graduation in Bachelor of Engineering with a specialisation in Computer Science. Being a software engineer and having over two years of experience in technical field, I wanted to switch my field to non-technical. This is when I chose MBA.
ISBR Business School was one of the few colleges that met all my basic expectations that I had from an MBA institute and the major thing that caught my attention was hostel facilities. In my opinion, while the education and study-related things do not differ much, the hostel facility is something I felt that sets apart ISBR from other institutes. All these factors made me select ISBR to pursue my PGDM.
CAT and CMAT were the exams I appeared for and scores for the same were accepted by all the colleges. CMAT score was accepted in the screening process by this college and then I had to go through group discussion and personal interview process. I had join IMS coaching center in Mumbai for preparation. Welingkar and IMT were the other institutes I was trying out for. Now, being a part of ISBR, I am very happy with my decision and extremely grateful and cannot think of being in a better place.
College starts at 8.30 am, and we have a well-planned day schedule. We get a five-minute break after every two-hour lecture. Everything concerning the time to be spent in college is well-organised. There is no particular class as such that I like to attend because the faculty for all the subjects is equally good and nobody has an edge over the other. In short, teaching is something that makes me want to attend more of every class. Coming to extra-curricular activities, I am a part of the cultural club and academic committee. There is nothing I would like to add on given a chance because the college has already given me so much to contain.
My life has completely changed after I joined this college. First month consisted of personality grooming activities wherein I got to interact with my fellow mates. We were encourage to evolve as individuals, make friends with people whose frst language isn’t the same as ours, who aren’t of the same age group as us and who come from diferent cultural background. I have experienced the same here and I am so thankful to ISBR for giving me all the contributing factors that have added up to my personality development.
