From joining JIMS to getting a job, it has been a very transforming journey of my life: A Ramnivas

It was 1^st June 2017, when I started my journey with JIMS. I then realized how important it was to have good teachers and friends in life.

I am an ambitious person, but always had the fear of competing with students who have been in the commerce department for the past 5 years. I was worried whether I would be able to cope up with subjects like Finance? But thanks to JIMS, which helped me get rid of this fear and concentrate on my studies.

It was 1^stJune 2017 when I started my journey with Jagan Institute of Management Studies. I then realized how important it was to have good teachers and friends in life. The faculties in JIMS are highly qualified and helpful. They have helped me grow each day. They have helped me go beyond my limits. Other than regular classes, there were additional classes by special faculties from industry and other top colleges. There were many seminars that have given us insight into what is happening in the industry. These seminars were well planned and systematic. Variety of subjects were covered in the seminars like Economics, Marketing, and Finance, Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship, and law.

There were many events like Marketon which gave us the opportunity to participate and organise. Giving us the valuable lessons of teamwork and problem-solving. Projects like Mentorship were assigned to give us the knowledge in the industry.

100’s of companies visited for Internship and Placement in our campus. Mock Interviews, Mock Group Discussion really helped us during placements. Intense pressure is maintained during our course so that we can handle pressure in the highly competitive corporate environment. Their regular guidance has helped me to bring and nurture best in me.

My friends in JIMS were very motivating. We were more like a Frenemy. My friends always motivated me to continuously improve my personality, knowledge, and communication. They inspired me to be self-sufficient and independent. They always guided me by showing my areas of improvement and motivating me to improve it.  The Alumni’s of JIMS was also very helpful. They guided us all the way through placements. Our senior batch, with whom we had the honour of spending a year, became more like friends in a very short period of time.

A Ramnivas, a student of JIMS. He has been selected as the Territory Sales Supervisor in MRF. He thinks that JIMS has transformed his life for good. A few of his hobbies are solving puzzles and playing chess. His interests are international relations and studying Economic and defense integration of the world. He is passionate about handling Data, Data mining anything and everything related to data.
