Getting into ABBS was tough indeed. We went through many levels of screening before being selected. I first had to send an application letter, with all my details including my scores for the entrance tests that I appeared for. Since I was an outstation student, most of my admission process was done online. After being shortlisted, I was interviewed on Skype by one the faculty member.

Since Class 8th I wanted to make a career in the field of Commerce and so I chose this stream in Class 11th and 12th.

My most favourite subject was Business Studies and Accountancy. I did score well in the board exams and got admitted to a good college in the National Capital Region (NCR) in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), which is a three-year course. After graduation in BBA, it was time to pursue postgraduation degree. However, due to some health issues I had to drop my plan for a year.

I started preparing for the national entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, etc., in my final year of college. I chose to study at home rather than attending coaching classes for the same. My efforts and hard work did pay and I scored decent marks in MAT exam.

After long research and talking to my friends, peers and reading reviews I decided to take admission in ABBS School of Management in Bengaluru, and applied for the admission in this college for the course of PGDM.

Since I was an outstation student, most of my admission process was done online.

After being shortlisted, I was interviewed on Skype by one the faculty member. Soon after few more rounds of screening, I received the soft copy as well as hard copy of the offer letter.

The entrance exams that I gave were CAT and MAT. MAT was quite easier to crack compared to CAT.

And I applied for few other colleges in the city, but ABBS School of Management was on the top of the list since beginning, and I am glad I got into the college of my choice.

College life till now has been exciting. We have events, competitions going on in the campus almost every week. Such events give us a chance to learn outside classrooms. We usually have a packed schedule starting at 9 am in the morning till 4:30 pm, also our sessions are engaged by some renowned guest lecturers who are highly successful managers in real life.

The best part is that our faculties use to motivate their students by calling "You are the future Managers of a company". We also have people from diverse fields who share their experience with us about how they survive in the corporate world with a good position, and listening to them acts as food for our souls.

I thoroughly enjoy attending lectures for Corporate Finance and Business Economics.

If given a chance I would love to represent my college at national level, by participating in management conferences and seminars. I also wish to organise a large-scale intercollegiate event in my college, where we would have participants from the entire state. Since my first day in college, every day has been a new adventure for us. Yes, I have definitely grown as a future manager, as I am pursuing this course at ABBS. I do look forward to learning more from my professors and sculpt my future in the best way possible.

After finishing my PGDM, I want to start my own business. Before that, I want to join a good marketing company so that I can learn how to deal with a customer and types of customers. Because I always believe more than theory, practical exposure helps more. After experiencing the corporate culture, I want to start  my own business some day.

My motive to enter business is to serve customers directly without any intermediate and create direct relationship with customers. this is my future plan after completing my PGDM.

ABBS School of Management supports me in my entrepreneurial journey by providing-workshops, soft skill training, guest lectures and so on.
