Workshops that give us real-life industry experience is motivating: Shelaj Sharma
“You know who I am, that only you know,
But you don’t know what I am, that’s what I’m going to tell you “
Coming from a small town, I was always expected and advised to become an engineer or a doctor. I was not forced but unintentionally I was pushed into studying Non-Medical (Science) in my high school, after which I did my engineering from a good college and was placed well with Tech Mahindra. Happy with my package, but unaware of my interest I started my job as a SOA Admin and after one and a half years I got an opportunity to travel on-site for client services. I came to know about my managerial efficiencies also called manipulating skills which I found really interesting and was something I wanted to become a professional in, then I decided to have proper knowledge with experience. I, hence, chose to opt for PGDM.
Didn’t scored high to get admission in IIMs but good enough to get admission in ISBR Business School. After leaving my job, there was only four month period I got to study for CAT exam for which I joined Edu-Corp Institute in Chandigarh. When I was required to fill my choices of colleges across India. ISBR was one of the colleges recommended by my friend which is at remote location in Bengaluru. After the CAT result was declared I got call from ISBR admission cell and I went for the PI round, which was interesting and I cleared it.
I also cleared the LM Thapar school of Management admission procedure but ISBR was my first priority.
ISBR B-School happened to be one of the most happening and fun leaning institutes I have ever experienced in my life. With academics and practical study of real life experiences such as Organizational Behaviour, MCOD and Business Communication are very interesting and helpful in personal and professional aspect. The staff both teaching and non-teaching are helpful. The extra-curriculums such as music club, sports club, media club, HR club helps people relaxing and are interesting in every way.
A lot of helpful workshops are being organised for the students to get real life experience of the industries, which again is the best
thing about college. I’m very satisfied to be the part of this college.
