Q: What is the process and eligibility criteria for admissions at ABBS, Bengaluru?
A: The admission process for the MBA programme of ABBS includes following steps:
Step 1: Applicant must fill the form online with a nominal fee amount of Rs 1,500
Step 2: The application will be matched against the eligibility criteria. If applicant meets the eligibility criteria, then they are called for an aptitude test followed by group discussion and personal interview rounds.
Step 3: Students who qualify all the rounds will receive their offer letters or admission confirmation letter
To be eligible for admission to the MBA programme, applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 50 per cent merit score including graduation, class 10th and 12th
- The score required in any of the national qualifying exam: minimum 500 marks in MAT, minimum percentile required in CAT is 60 and minimum 500 marks in CMAT.
Q: What is the total fee for two-year MBA programme? Is there any scholarship or loan assistance facility available to students?
A: The total fee for two-year MBA programme is Rs 8.10 Lakh. There is an additional fee of Rs 1.20 Lakh for students, in case they opt for on-campus accommodation. Institute offers 10 scholarships to students based on their merit scores and excellence in academics. The scholarship award varies from Rs 50,000 to 50 per cent of the course tuition fee.
Q: What are the different specialisations students can choose from?
A: ABBS understands the industry, hence all the specialisations are offered keeping the industrial requirements in mind. Below is the complete list of all the specialisations offered in MBA programme:

Q: Does institute offer any additional certification to add value to students resume?
A: Apart from the specialisations offered, students can also choose from a wide range of additional certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt, Family Business, Supply Chain, Block Chain, Text Analytics, Financial Modelling, offered by renowned organisations such as BSE, Trak Lab and Virginia Tech. These certifications will not just add extra value to the students’ resume but will also give them a chance to stand out of the crowd. These are designed keeping in the mind the latest trends in the industry to keep students are aware about the current industry practices.
Q: How do you prepare students for placements?
A: To make students overcome the fear of public speaking so that they can perform well in interviews, institute organises frequent guest lectures, delivered by eminent industry specialists. Moreover, workshops are organised for pre-placement training where students learn to write detailed resume and are provided with preparation tips for aptitude tests. Besides, workshops are also organised to teach students importance of right attitude, corporate appearance, art and science of first impression, how to ace the interview and adapt to organizational changes.
Besides this, the placement committee also invites potential recruiters to conduct mock group discussion and personal interview sessions. This immensely helps in boosting students’ confidence.
Q: What are the placement trends? Does ABBS facilitate internship opportunities?
A: ABBS witnessed the highest package of Rs 10 lakh and an average package of Rs 6.2 lakh last year. The institute also assists students in finding internship opportunities by inviting companies on-board for paid internships, ranging somewhere between Rs 10k and Rs 20k. The internship duration is usually between 3-4 months. Summer Internships can also lead to final PPOs depending on students’ performance. We generally target companies for long-term association.
Q: What is the seat intake for current batch and what accreditations does the institute have?
A: The total seat intake for MBA programme is 120 students. The institute is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) USA.
