Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to conduct the CBSE board exams 2026 between February 15 and April 4, 2026. Class 10 exams will likely be held between Feb 15 and March 18, 2026 while Class 12 exams are expected to be conducted between February 15 and April 4, 2026. The exams are held in pen and paper mode. The Board released the CBSE 10th, 12th syllabus and sample papers on the official website. You must download it and start covering the syllabus topic-wise. CBSE will conduct the 10th, 12th board exams 2026 from February 17, 2026 in pen and paper format. The exams will conclude on April 9, 2026. 

The board released the CBSE syllabus and exam pattern 2026 on the official website. Students must finish with their syllabus by January 2026 and start practising the CBSE sample papers and previous years question papers for better preparation of the exams. 

CBSE conducts the CBSE practical exams between January 1 and Feb 14 every year. There is no external examiner allotted to conduct  practical exams for Class 10, while external examiners are called to conduct the CBSE 12th practical exams. 

For winter-bound schools, CBSE practical exams are held between November 5 and December 5.

CBSE released the CBSE 10th date sheet 2026 for Phase 1 exams on September 24, 2025. The date sheet is released on the official website- cbse.nic.in. The Phase 1 CBSE 10th exams 2026 will be held between February 17 and March 9, 2026 in pen and paper format. CBSE 10th phase 2 exams will be held between May 15 and June 1, 2026. The CBSE date sheet 2026 mentions the exam days, dates and timings for all subjects. Students must download and take a printout of the CBSE 10th date sheet 2026 and keep it secure with them to refer it till their exams get over.

When appearing for the CBSE board exams, you must feel relaxed and comfortable. Yes, you will be allowed to go to the washroom during the examination but only once and with an invigilator. Students often use washroom for using unfair means and cheat in board exams, however, they must know that the invigilator can frisk them anytime during the exam duration. So, it is recommended to use washroom only when needed.
