LOC stands for List of Candidates. It is the list of all students who will write the CBSE Board Exam 2027. The list covers students of 10th Class and 12th Class. Schools fill the CBSE LOC form online. Students do not fill it on their own. The process starts on September 24, 2026. Only students on this list can sit for the board exams. • Open the official website, cbse.gov.in.

• Look at the latest circulars on the homepage.

• Find the circular on the List of Candidates for 2026-27.

• Click on it. The PDF will open.

• Save the file for later use.

CBSE LOC Last Date 2026 and Schedule

CBSE has given two sets of dates. One is for digital payment. The other is for challan payment.

The portal closes at 11:59 PM on the last date. A challan stays valid for four days. CBSE will not extend the CBSE LOC last date. In the last seven days, the principal must check the status every day. The exam dates will come in the CBSE Date Sheet 2027.

CBSE LOC Fee for Class 10 and 12

The CBSE LOC fee depends on where the school is located. Check the fee details below.

Visually impaired students do not pay the exam fee. The fee is paid online only. Schools in India can use card, UPI, NEFT or net banking. Offline payment is not accepted.

CBSE LOC Submission Process for Schools

Schools follow a fixed process to submit the CBSE LOC. The main steps are listed below.

• Log in with the school's Affiliation Number as the user ID.

• Update school data on the OASIS portal.

• Fill teacher data on the HPE portal. Save the confirmation number.

• Check the student data carried over from 9th Class and 11th Class registration.

• Upload photos of students, if not done earlier.

• Fill the subject codes as per the Scheme of Studies.

• Submit all students of one fee slab in one go.

• Pay the fee online and submit the LOC with the principal's e-signature.

New schools must fill the OASIS and HPE portals first. Only then can they submit the LOC. There is no Excel upload option.

Student Details Checked in CBSE LOC Form

Students should check these details with their school before the data is locked.

• Student name, as per the school admission register

• Mother, father and guardian name

• Date of birth

• Subjects and subject codes

• Category of the student

• Photograph

• APAAR ID (optional)

• CWSN status, if it applies

The CWSN data has an earlier last date than the main LOC. After the LOC is submitted, subjects cannot be changed. CWSN benefits also cannot be added later.

CBSE LOC Categories: FS, ER and Improvement

Every student is placed in one category in the CBSE LOC form. The result is declared as per this category.

ER students must meet the attendance rules. Students who want to appear on their own have a separate route. They can apply through the CBSE Private Candidate Form 2027.

CBSE Two Board Exam Rules for Class 10 LOC

10th Class students will get two board exams in 2027. Here are the LOC rules linked to this.

• This LOC is for the first board exam in February-March.

• The first exam is compulsory for all 10th Class students.

• The LOC for the second exam will be filled after the first exam.

• Students can take only the same subjects in the second exam.

• Passed students can improve marks in up to three main subjects.

• Subjects cannot change between the two exams.

• Only Maths Standard and Maths Basic can be switched.

Important CBSE Subject Codes for LOC 2027

Some subject codes are often mixed up. CBSE has asked schools to fill them with care.

CBSE will not change subjects just before the exams. Students should match their subjects with the CBSE Class 12th Syllabus 2026-27. Wrong subject combinations will be marked as not eligible.

CBSE LOC Correction Window and Data Verification Slip

CBSE has added a new step this year to cut down errors. After the last date, schools will print a data verification slip for each student. Students can check their details on this slip. Wrong names, date of birth or subjects can be fixed from November 2 to November 4, 2026. No change will be allowed after this. Before the last date, schools can also fix errors themselves. Changing a name or replacing a subject costs nothing. Adding a sixth subject needs extra fee.
