The Gujarat Board has cancelled the Class 10 examinations in view of the surge in COVID-19 case.
GSEB SSC 2021 exams: The Gujarat Board has decided to cancel the GSEB Class 10 examinations 2021 in view of the prevailing circumstances due to surge in COVID cases. The state government has decided to give mass promotion to the class 10 students. The decision on GSEB SSC Exam 2021 was taken in the core committee meeting held on March 13, 2021.
The meeting held yesterday was chaired by the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani. The Gujarat state government had earlier decided to release the revised GSEB 10th Time Table on or after May 15, 2021, after reviewing the COVID situation. However, now it has been decided to cancel the GSEB SSC Exams 2021.
βAn important decision was taken today in the wider interest of the students of Std-10 SSC of the state. Considering the current state of transition of the corona, the decision to give adequate mass promotion to regular students in Std-10 SSC this year was taken in the core committee meeting held today," read the official tweet by the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani.

Meanwhile, many state boards including CBSE, ICSE, Maharashtra, JKBOSe, among others have decided to cancel their Class 10 board examinations. But, Gujarat Board has become the first board to give mass promotion to the Class 10 students. Earlier, the board had also released the guidelines for giving mass promotion to the students of Classes 9 and 11.
The state board will soon be releasing the revised date sheet for Class 12.
