Maharashtra SSC Topper 2024: Rhea Gangaramani, a student of Christ Academy in Navi Mumbai, has emerged as one of the top scorers in the Maharashtra SSC examinations 2024, achieving a remarkable overall percentage of 96%. Her stellar performance is a testament to her dedication and academic prowess. Across subjects, Rhea has demonstrated exceptional proficiency, securing impressive marks in English (1st Lang), Marathi (2/3Lang), Hindi (2/3Lang), Mathematics, Science & Technology, and Social Sciences. With English at 90, Marathi at 92, Hindi at 91, Mathematics at 97, Science & Technology at 98, and Social Sciences at 97, Rhea's consistent excellence across the Maharashtra SSC Board sets a shining example for her peers.

Q: Congratulations on your result! How was your reaction after seeing the results? Did you score what you expected?
A: It was really intimidating till 1 pm. A wave of relief and joy washed over me when I saw my results. All the late nights and hard work had paid off.           

Q: Please tell us something about your family background.
A: My father, Dilip Gangaramani is a businessman in the publishing industry, and my mother, Dr. Kalpana Gangaramani, is a doctor.

Q: Please tell me about the stream that you are targeting
A: I am deeply passionate about the field of computer science, and I am setting my sights on pursuing a Diploma in Computer Engineering. This decision aligns with my aspirations to build a robust foundation for a fulfilling career in technology.

Q: What was your strategy to score above 95%?
A: I always believe that ‘If we fail to plan, we plan to fail’. The key to my success was a well-defined plan, consistent study habits, and a balanced schedule with dedicated study and break times.  While I focused on self-study with comprehensive notes from Target Publications, the support from my school, family was invaluable. I had practice lot of question papers from book SSC 54 Question Papers of Target Publications. During breaks, I enjoyed unwinding with some TV shows. Maintaining focus on my goal and perseverance were essential for this achievement.

Q: Did you take any online or offline coaching?

A: Yes, I had opted for offline coaching.
Q: Who encouraged you the most in this journey?

A: Throughout my journey both my parents and my elder sister, were my constant source of encouragement and support. My mom motivated me throughout the year. She helped me maintain the momentum of studying even when it seemed difficult. She would never let me give up or feel low about the marks. Infact, we used to discuss what could be improved after each exam I wrote. . I'm also grateful to my dedicated teachers who were always available to answer my questions.

Q: What was your routine during the Maharashtra SSC board exam preparation?
A: Following a steady routine is tough but it pays off in the long run. I used to get up early in the morning to attend my school. When I got home, I used to take a nap to recharge myself. Subsequently, I would engage in coaching sessions, dedicating ample time for self-study in the evening.

Q: What are your future plans? Which career path are you aiming?

A: As we already discussed, my love for computers has made me opt for computer engineering as my career. My dream is to use my skills to code my own robot. I want to push the limits of what's possible with technology and be a part of making new inventions that can change the world.

Q: What is your favorite subject?

A: Mathematics is my favorite subject. My teacher, Mrs. Parthasarathy, instilled  in me the love for mathematics by making the complicated equations look simple.

Q: Are you planning to begin preparing for any entrance exam?

A: No, the career that I have opted does not need an entrance exam as of now. While entrance exams may be a consideration in the future, they are not currently on my immediate agenda.
Q: What is your dream college/institute?

A: I aspire to gain admission to Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), renowned for its excellence in engineering education and innovative research opportunities.
Q: What are your future goals?

A: In future, I dream of starting my own venture.
Q: Please share some tips for students prepping to appear in Maharashtra 10th Board Exams 2025

Scoring 96% required a deep conceptual understanding of each subject. Understanding each line of the page makes it really easy for students to recollect the answer and write it in their exams. Moreover, a proper study plan should be maintained. Students must aim at giving as many tests as possible, this would help them evaluate themselves and gain confidence at each stage of their preparation. One last tip: Boards are not scary; they are just like the regular exams we take in our school. Don’t be afraid, believe in yourself and give your best shot. ALL THE BEST !
