What I liked was that the preparation didn't start only when placements came around. We were getting small bits of training throughout the course, so it never felt rushed.

Things that really helped were:

• Communication and personality development sessions.

• Resume-building guidance.

• Group discussions and presentations.

• Guest sessions with industry professionals.

• Internship opportunities to get some real work exposure.

By the time placement season started, interviews didn't feel as scary because we'd already practiced so much. I felt much more confident compared to when I first joined, and that steady preparation really made a difference for me.

If I were in your position, I wouldn't wait too much or get stressed about the scores. You already have 2 years of work experience, which is a good advantage and adds value to your profile.

My suggestion would be to apply to colleges that accept MAT scores while also waiting for your CMAT result. That way, you keep your options open and don't lose time.

Personally, I would suggest GIBS Bangalore. What I liked about GIBS is that the college looks at the overall profile of a student and not just one exam score. Along with academics, there is a strong focus on internships, industry exposure, live projects, placement training, and skill development.

Why I would consider GIBS:

• Accepts MAT, CMAT, CAT, XAT and other scores
• Work experience is valued during admissions
• Good industry exposure
• Internship opportunities
• Placement support and training
• Active campus life and learning environment

My simple advice: Apply with your MAT score if you're eligible and also keep your CMAT option open. Don't let one exam score decide your future. A good college and the effort you put in during the course matter much more in the long run.
