Acharya Institute of Health Sciences offers admission to all the courses except MPT based on merit of the aspirants in the last qualifying exam. Aspirants only need to fulfill the eligibility requirements for admission in merit accepting programmes. The institute conducts an entrance test for admission to MPT programme. Candidates must have passed Class 12, 'A' Level or equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics as compulsory/ optional subjects with at least 50% aggregate or Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology or Medical Lab Technology after Class 10 or O Level from any recognised board/ university, in any country with a minimum of 50% aggregate to apply for BSc MIT and MLT, respectively. Aspirants need to complete Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognised board to apply for BSc AT & OT.

Candidates need to pass in II PUC with Science subjects PCB., PCMB., CBZ., except for Diploma in Medical Records Technology for which minimum qualification would be II PUC with any optional subjects such as Science/ Arts/ Commerce to apply for Diploma courses at Acharya Institute of Health Sciences. Those trained in English Typing or in basic Computer knowledge are given preference.

AIHS's M.Sc. in Nursing (Psychiatric Nursing) is a 2 years course offered at the PG level.

Eligibility for Acharya Institute of Health Sciences for M.Sc. in Nursing (Psychiatric Nursing) ;

Pass in B.Sc Nursing Basic / B.Sc Honors in Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing / Post Certificate B.Sc Nursing from any recognised University / Board or Council recognised as equivalent by RGUHS and approved by AIU (Association of Indian Universities) with not less than 50% of the maximum marks. Candidates should be Registered Nurses and Registered Midwife and must have a minimum of one year of working experience.

Admission is based on the marks obtained in a graduation degree in the relevant stream.
