R.G. Kar Medical College does not offer a blanket 100% scholarship to all students—but many deserving and financially needy students can receive significant support through various means:State & central government scholarships, including Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means (SVMCM), minority scholarships, SC/ST/OBC schemes, and others. These often cover tuition and sometimes hostel/other fees .Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, specifically for covering hostel fees .College/University merit scholarships and economically disadvantaged concessions through administrative approval .External NGO/alumni-funded scholarships, such as those from the RG Kar Appeal Fund and other memorial scholarships .Since it's a government institution, annual tuition is already nominal (~INR 4,500 per semester or ~INR 20,000–INR 30,000 per year) . Bottom line: While there's no universal full scholarship for every student, many students especially those with low family income and strong academic performance can qualify for schemes that fully waive tuition and possibly hostel/other fees. If you're eligible, these can effectively cover nearly all your educational costs. For precise opportunities and eligibility, you should inquire with the college's scholarship office early in the academic year.
