Law student life at DY Patil Law College.
Placements: Placements here are decent; we have many top-tier firms and companies like Infosys, Wiksate Solutions hiring law students and offering roles like legal researcher, contracts, and emerging manager etc. They also offer good CTC of up to 8 LPA, and the lowest being 3 LPA. Every year, almost 70% of the batch gets placements, and others go for higher studies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great for law students here; we have a moot court hall, a seminar hall, and even classrooms that are quite spacious. We have projectors in each classroom, and the library is also well-stocked with the latest books. It consists of many national and international journals, Supreme Court cases, bare facts, etc. Hostels are also clean; some rooms have attached washrooms as well, but we are provided with fans in them, not ACs. The food is also good in the hostel, and both veg and non-veg options are available.
Faculty: Faculty members are great. They are from top NLUs and have great knowledge and understanding of their topics. They also hold many Ph.D. degrees in their fields, yet they are friendly and always easy to approach in case of doubt. The curriculum also covers all the major laws being taught, like institutional law, family law, etc. Additionally, we have electives that cover topics that are most usable in the practical world, like cyber law, human rights law, and along with all this, we have separate training for moots, drafting, ADR, etc.
Other: The crowd is mixed. Students are mostly local Maharashtrians, and others are from across India, like one of my friends from Bengaluru and some from Tamil Nadu as well. We have events throughout our college semester with college fest, extra law fest being held, and other events such as legal campus, moot competitions, workshops, etc.

DY Patil College of Law – Is it Good or Just Hyped Up?
Placements: College doesn't have a placement cell. So, if you're expecting any assistance in terms of placement, you'll be very disappointed. Since no students get placed through the college, there's no highest or lowest package offered in my course. No companies by themselves visit the college. Placement cell doesn't exist, let alone an internship committee. I had given the suggestion to form an internship cell, but they didn't accept my proposal as well.
Infrastructure: College has good infrastructure and a large campus. It's equipped with a library, canteen, and good classroom facilities. Food provided in the canteen is tasty. However, hostel facilities are not apt, and you might prefer to live in a rented flat or PG.
Faculty: B.A. LL.B. is a 5-year-long course in which 2 years are dedicated to B.A. subjects, while from the 3rd year onwards, law subjects start. Teachers who teach Arts subjects are not at all knowledgeable, and you'd feel like you're wasting your 2 years just like that. If you really want to make good use of the first 2 years, my suggestion would be to join internships and make connections.
Other: Batch strength is 120. However, regular attendance only goes up to 30-35. College doesn't have strict rules for attendance. Hence, students only attend lectures when their exams are nearby. Moot Court and cultural committees are active, but all other committees do not do any activities. Students often struggle with making bonds and connections with seniors because you'd rarely find any senior attending classes.

ADYPU - Law faculty members are really good.
Placements: In our course, not much of students get campus placements but university has internship faculty members. They try to give internship opportunities to few students. Internship opportunities are given mostly under district advocates. Top roles that can be offered are that you can prepare for UPSC or judiciary exams for which there is a separate mentorship program free of cost.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is top-notch. We have smart classes, classrooms are clean with proper lighting and Wi-Fi. Library doesn't have much books but online soft copy will be provided. Lexis Nexis is available for all law students free of cost. Computer facility is also provided.
Faculty: Law faculty members are very helpful, knowledgeable, and approachable. Semester exams are not too difficult as you are provided with options for each essay type of questions which make it easy. Internal exams are also easy. The average pass percentage is 70%.
Other: For law course, there are very less events and no freshers' party.

This college is not what I was expecting it to be.
Placements: For BA LLB course at ADYPU, the placements cell is decent. The average package offered is 5L per annum which is a decent amount for a fresher in any field. Plenty of courses are offered in this college. MBA offers good placements with good packages but UG courses don’t have a good placements cell.
Infrastructure: The campus is pretty well maintained with lots of greenery and spacious open parking available. Library, Basketball court and a huge football ground are available. Hostel is good too. Canteen food is average in quality. The hostel doesn't have a lift which is a major issue. Apart from this, the hostel as well as the campus are well maintained.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching patterns and methods are good. Overall, 100 marks are divided into 3 parts of internals, mid terms and the end sem. The teachers are supportive and helpful. The exams and checking are lenient.
Other: BA LLB is an integrated course which basically saves your 1 year, instead of doing BA and LLB separately, you get to do it together. The college life is not up to the mark nor is the crowd.

Our college is good and has a good atmosphere and facilities.
Placements: Many students got placed in our college. Our college provides internships for students.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and projectors are available in all classrooms. Our library is very huge and has many books. The food served in the hostel is very tasty. Our college provides sports facilities.
Faculty: Our teachers are good, knowledgeable, and highly qualified. Their teaching quality is good. Semester exams are conducted properly. The pass percentage is 35%.
Other: I opted for this course because I want to be aware of daily activities and want to become an advocate. Our college organises many events, fests, moot courts, extracurricular activities, and sports competitions throughout the semester.

ADYPU is a good college.
Placements: Almost 60-70% of the students are placed from the previous batch. There is a proper internship and placement cell which provides information regarding jobs and internships also for the benefit of students. Faculty members also provide information regarding jobs opportunity and internships.
Infrastructure: Our university has smart classes, Wi-Fi, moot court area, jamming area, canteen, elevators, library, and everything important for students. Washrooms are also very clean and the food served in the canteen and mess is also good. Moreover, the price of hostel rooms is a bit expensive.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very good, supportive and creative. The syllabus is also good and covers everything which that is important for law students. Aprat from this, the process of evaluation is bit tiring and tricky because 60% of the evaluation is based on assignments and mid terms. The time table for end term is also not that good as they did not provide enough gaps between the end term examinations.
