B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering (Automobile) - Batch of 2028
3.4
3Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
My campus life at Amal Jyothi is the worst part.
Placements: My plan after getting a B.Tech is to be placed in a good company which have foreign head office. From the sixth semester, they start the placement training programme. They are offering Royal Enfield, Eicher, Yamaha, and Bosch training certificates from their own laboratory equipment. Companies like Mahindra, Eicher, Luxon Tata are recruiting from college-level placement. Most of the students got placed in college. The highest package salary is 5LPA. As the seniors said, the average package is around 10 LPA. If you have decent skills and an above 8 CGPA, you will get this average package.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is pretty good, with a capacity of 2500 for both girls and boys. There is one bed sharing, 2 bed sharing and 3 bed sharing. Also, there is a balcony for almost all the rooms, which is a rare thing to hostles. The hostel is very strict. Need outpass just to go outside. The message goes to the parents once we get out of the hostel.
Faculty: Mainly, I focused on the automobile. Amal Jyothi is the best in automobile engineering in Kerala. I'm an average student, but engineering isn't tough and easy, I think. Studying day by day can easily crack exams. Focus on CGPA, as it's important to get a job easily. Exams are easy because question banks are given, and only questions are taken from the question bank. There will be the toughest paper in every semester, and faculty members will take extra hours and special classes for that subject. There will be at least one programming language in each sem.
Other: After classes, students can stay on campus until 6:30 pm. They may use the gym and engage in other games. The cafeteria is open until 5:30. Hostel students have to enter the hostel before 6:45pm. The only thing that comes close to nightlife is on Fridays. Hostel students can stay within the college until 10:30pm. The canteen will also be open for the duration on that day. Hostellers are not allowed to leave the campus premises on any day except on weekends. The nearest movie theatre is in Mundakkayam called R D Cinemas.

Amal Jyothi College of Engineering provides a huge infrastructure for students.
Placements: Almost 10 percent of the students are getting placed every year. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Tata, Eicher, etc. We are getting internship offers from Bangalore, etc. Our college is providing 2 plus 2 year study at James Cook University in Australia.
Infrastructure: There are many facilities available in our college. There is a very good and calm environment that we are provided, and there are so many lab facilities that we can enhance our studies. Hostel facilities are great, and there are almost 3000 students in the boys' hostel and 2000 in the girls' hostel.
Faculty: Teachers and all the staff members are very helpful in our study procedure. They are very supportive, and the pass percentage is really good, and all the departments have well-trained teaching staffs and the semester exams are a little bit hard, but if we study, we can pass easily.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) - Batch of 2029
4.2
4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
I would give a 4-star rating for Amal Jyothi College of Engineering.
Placements: Cyber Security has been newly introduced in Amal Jyothi College of Engineering. I am a first-year cyber student, and the first batch of Cyber Security is currently in 2nd year. So no batch has graduated yet. Upon searching, I got to know that cyber comes under CS, so the company recruitments would be the same as those of other CS branches. Most of the students of CS are getting placed at Infosys, UST Global, Wipro, and Spyder. These companies would recruit Cyber students. Salary packages are seen to be around the lowest 2 LPA to the highest being 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: Here we have good infrastructure, Wi-Fi all around the campus as well as the hostel, a decent library, and labs for every branch. The hostel is actually strict, so good discipline is maintained. A variety of foods are available in the canteen, which is made here only. Mess food is also good; it is adjustable.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful and approachable. Cybersecurity is a growing field, so there are many opportunities for students. As for semester exams, we are provided with a question bank, and about 70% of questions are based on it, with the remaining related to the syllabus.
Other: The college conducts superb events; every festival is celebrated. To point out, so many extracurricular activity is provided to students. Many clubs are here, so students can show off their talents and earn activity points.

B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science - Batch of 2028

Great infrastructure, amazing festivals, supportive hostel life, but slightly high fees.
Placements: I'm actually a 2nd year student, but in the previous year of seniors, the eligible students got 100% placement. And in terms of me, my senior batch, that means 3rd years, they are the first autonomous batch. So when we pass out, it's gonna be a different story since we'll be autonomous students.
Infrastructure: In terms of course infrastructure, we do have a department building. The left side belongs to IT & AD (one department only), and the right side belongs to CSE. We got 4 labs and only 1 is air-conditioned, whereas for CSE, all 4 are AC. We don't have classrooms in the department building, only staff rooms and labs. Classes are in another building. There is a library and super-speed Wi-Fi, with an average of around 50 Mbps and up to 700 Mbps. In terms of the hostel, it's the best with sports facilities, 20 Mbps Wi-Fi, and daily non-veg.
Faculty: Teachers, I think in our IT and AD department, there's only a handful of teachers who are rich in knowledge. Some teachers may have degrees, but don't know how to teach, or they just refer to W3 Schools always. As if we couldn't just read. The course is curriculum-ready, as we have autonomy status, our college has only prepared the syllabus based on what we actually need. So there are no useless subjects. Semester exams are average in terms of difficulty, but evaluation is really liberal as far as I've seen.
Other: It was only after I chose this course and got my seat confirmed that I came to know a suicide had happened in this college a year before my admission. Obviously, my parents and I got scared, and many things started to spread, like being super strict, phones taken at 8 pm for hostelers, and no proper fests. But after the case, management changed. Now the college is amazing with Christmas, Onam, tech fests, cultural events, arts and sports. Hostel has study time from 9 pm to 12 am, but it's not strict. Feels are 1.7 yearly, totalling around 8 Lacs, with a 5k monthly mess fee.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of facilities .
Placements: 2 or 3 students got placed with 8 LPA from 60 students (our total class strength) and about 15 got placed for 4lpa the treat are jobless internships - nil and most of the students who got placed arent even wotking in pure it field ( tele - communication).
Infrastructure: The physical appearance and buildings are good but the staffs are bad - teachers have experience but it doesn't mean they have good teaching skills just aged hostel is bad - bad food - very strict - sometimes they don't even let u go out - sometimes they don't let u order food.
Faculty: Teachers - bad they don't teach important, they just cover the topics course curriculum is good because it was under ktu sem exams are okay - its ktu Most of the facilities are saddists, they don't even like that the students are enjoying or they don't allow students to be happy.
Other: I genuinely choose this college because of false advertising they don't really provide that much placements now the college has become autonomous - so please don't fall for it.

Good placements, supportive faculty, and excellent campus life.
Placements: At Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, around 75-80 percent of students got placed in reputed companies. The highest package is about 12 LPA, the lowest is around 3 LPA and the average is 4 LPA-5 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Cognizant, UST Global, and Bosch. Nearly 60 percent of students secured internships in companies like TCS, Infosys, Bosch, and startups, with roles such as software engineer, data analyst, and developer being the most offered.
Infrastructure: Amal Jyothi College of Engineering provides well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a rich library that support academic needs. The hostel facilities are good with clean rooms, study areas, and 24/7 Wi-Fi. The mess and canteen serve decent food with multiple options, and there are medical facilities with doctors on call. The campus also offers excellent sports grounds, indoor games, and gym facilities, making both academics and campus life well-balanced.
Faculty: The faculty at Amal Jyothi College of Engineering is well-qualified, supportive, and approachable, with good teaching quality and guidance. The curriculum is updated and industry-relevant, helping students build technical and soft skills. Semester exams are moderately difficult but manageable with proper preparation, and the pass percentage is usually high, as the college provides strong academic support.
Other: I chose my course at Amal Jyothi College of Engineering because of its strong reputation, experienced faculty, and excellent placement support. The best part of the course is the practical exposure through labs, projects, and internships, which makes students industry-ready. I wish there could be more core company placements and updated elective options. The campus has a vibrant crowd with active fests, technical events, and cultural programs, along with good scholarship opportunities and extracurricular activities. The location is well-connected, and the green surroundings make the campus lively and student-friendly.
