Brief Profile of Prof. (Dr.) Jayanthi Ranjan, Director MDIM

Dr. Jayanthi Ranjan is an eminent leader of higher education, institution builder, researcher, and academic strategist with more than 31 years of experience in higher education in domains of university leadership, teaching, research, consultation, and international cooperation. Indeed, her extraordinary career from being a PhD holder in computer science to becoming a Founding Vice-Chancellor was due to her pursuit of excellence in academics and innovation. She has been an eminent personality for establishing and developing universities, regulatory compliance, digital transformation, governance, international collaborations, research, and innovations. She has successfully managed to develop university governance frameworks, regulate the regulatory compliance, implement NEP 2020, develop multidisciplinary schools/centres of excellence, develop digitalization, and establish important international academic and industrial partnerships that have improved the reputation and societal impact of the institutions. She has successfully managed to steer the growth strategy of the university by adopting Outcome-Based Education (OBE), interdisciplinary programs, AI-powered education, Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, research and innovation ecosystem, and student-centric programs in employability and well-being. During her term as VC, the university has published more than 180 research papers and more than 100 patents, which is more than what the university has achieved in the last six years. She has developed more than 35 strategic partnerships with corporate organizations, governmental, and international organizations, and increased the visibility of the university through national and international conferences, CXO conclaves, industry conclaves, and research & community engagement programs. Throughout her professional career, she has served various eminent roles of leadership as Founding Vice-Chancellor, Sharda University Agra; Dean Academics and Dean, School of Business, Sharda University; Group Associate Dean – International Relations, IMT Group-Ghaziabad Nagpur Hyderabad & Dubai, Professor IMT Ghaziabad, Jaipuria Institute of Management Noida. She is an eminent scholar with many scholarly publications and books (1305 plus Scopus documents, 4440+ google scholar citations)) in addition to undertaking many research projects, and guiding 16 PhDs; She is known for her visionary leadership and strategic thinking.
