No, HPCET is not compulsory for admissions to BTech at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Institute of Engineering and Technology. Students can apply through JEE Mains as well as HPCET. Students must still meet the eligibility for the course as well as their preferred exam with students meeting the cut

Which are INR 1600 and INR 1000, respectively for General candidates. SC/ST/OBC/PwD can expect some concessions in the application fee
