Placements in our college were decent for textile and electronics engineering, but they were not that good for civil and mechanical branches.

Different side of Jawaharlal Nehru Government Engineering College.
Placements: There are very low placements and the students who are placed only belong to textile engineering. There are no other placements at any other branch. Even if there, they are very small not many companies come to our college only textile engineering.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel for girls only for boys. There is good structure okay but not that good or that bad. It is on top of a hill and there is no college transportation for students still, it is one of the top colleges in Himachal. There is no good college.
Faculty: For exams, there is good curriculum. Teachers are also good and but there are less faculty members than there should be. Course curriculum is also not that relevant, it is just theory-based and not that much practical. Semester exams are okay but with checking scheme is very bad even if a student is good or not. There is no probability of passing or not passing so it's all depends on the checker.
Other: The campus life is dead and I have to choose this course because there is no other option that is affordable. All I can afford and I really wish that I could study at some other college. There are very less events and fests. The fest is very small and they are not even considered a fest.

    Good but average college here.
Placements: Well, there are 76 students in our course in civil engineering. Well talking about placements, don't have much expectations. Only the textile course here can have you a placement with the highest package 18 LPA and average is around 1 LPA. There are training programs also in the final year.
Infrastructure: Well, we have good infrastructure for the hostel and college. Talking about mess food it's not that much appreciable. Fee for the mess is average of Rs 3000 per month. Talking about the hostel fee it's around Rs 8000 per year with good infrastructure and friendly seniors.
Faculty: Mid semester tests are conducted 3 times every semester. Good qualified professors are present. Every course has around average of 70 students. Talking about the difficulty, I have 3 backlogs in my 1st semester. Not much but going to clear it soon.
Other: NCC and NSS are also present here in this college. I am here in civil engineering. Not much events are held here but tournaments are organised.

Review for JNGEC Sundernagar: good surrounding, poor mess food.
Placements: Most of the students get placed in the university on campus. The highest package offered in textile engineering was 16 LPA, while the lowest package for placement was 2.3 LPA. The average package is 4-5 LPA. Our batch is the second one, so there have not been any placements yet.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi inside the college and hostel for students. Labs are normal, and classrooms are a bit old-fashioned. There is a scarcity of benches in class, and most of the projectors in class don't work. The library is average, but there are no non-fiction books available. No medical facilities are provided in our hostel, and no games happen inside the hostel—only some cricket tournaments take place. The mess food is very poor as it comes under private tender.
Faculty: The faculty is kind of hardworking, cheerful, motivating, and very friendly. They're knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is above average. The curriculum is somewhat outdated, as we are taught yoga, engineering economics, and EVS in CSE. Semester exams are quite difficult, as the papers mostly come out of the syllabus.
Other: I chose B.Tech because I was interested in computer science from childhood and was fond of computers. The best thing about this course is that it is budget-friendly compared to private colleges. Wi-Fi should be available in both the college and hostel, and the syllabus should be modern and relevant. No extracurricular activities happen in college, but scholarships are available. The campus surroundings are calm, but there is a transportation issue. There is also a campus crowd, but no events happen in this college. One fest named TWASK occurs, but it didn't happen last year.

    My college is JNGEC Sundernagar.
Placements: Only textile students have placement options. Other courses do get placed but with very low packages. For textile students, the highest package is 12 LPA, whereas for others, the highest package is only up to 5 LPA. It depends on your presentation skills.
Infrastructure: There are hostels only for boys, and not for girls. The infrastructure is also not that favorable, as it is a very small campus with very little space for students to hang out. The food quality in the boys' mess is also not good, as I've heard from my friends.
Faculty: Teachers are punctual about taking classes and providing study materials. They care about completing the syllabus for classes. The quality is also good. The course does prepare students. The end-semester exams are tough if students have not prepared for them.
Other: More fests and events should be organized. Sports ground for the availability of games like basketball and football.

A brief review of JNGEC Sundarnagar.
Placements: The placement at the college is very poor, and the college doesn't provide any placement in any field of engineering, like civil, electronics, mechanical, except for providing placement in textile and computer engineering. The highest placement at the college is 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the department is very good. We have various labs in our department, in which many instruments of civil engineering are provided. We also have a library, in which various books are available for each field of engineering. In the hostel, the quality of food is average, and the facilities of the hostel are very good.
Faculty: The faculty at our college is good. The teachers are very hard-working, efficient, and intellectual, and they know every topic about their subject. The course curriculum for Civil Engineering is relevant. After the second semester, the semester exams in college are pretty difficult.
Other: I chose Civil Engineering as my father is also a civil engineer at HPPWD. From my childhood, I used to see in making plans and various things, which inspired me to become a civil engineer.
