I think Athena School of Management (Mumbai) is a good option for an MBA/PGPM if your focus is practical learning and early career exposure. The college emphasises real-world tasks like internships, live projects and industry-engagement. For freshers who want to get into the corporate world, that's a strong plus. That said, it's not as widely known as some older institutions, so if you care a lot about brand name or immediate high package, you might want to compare a few more colleges too. Overall, it's definitely worth considering.

What felt unique to me about Athena is the way they focus on actual industry exposure instead of only classroom teaching. Most colleges talk about internships, but here they actually include multiple internships in the program, so students get real experience before graduating. The campus vibe is also quite friendly, and being in Mumbai helps because you get more chances to attend sessions, events and interact with companies. It's not a very traditional B-school, but more practical in how they teach.

No, NMAT is not compulsory for admission to the MBA/PGPM programme at Athena School of Management (Mumbai).Athena follows a profile-based admission process, which means your overall profile — academics, communication skills, achievements, and interview performance — carries more weight than just test scores. You can apply with scores from NMAT, CAT, XAT, GMAT, or GRE, but if you haven't taken any of these, you can appear for ASAT (Athena Scholastic Aptitude Test), which is the institute's own entrance exam. This gives flexibility to students who don't have NMAT or CAT scores but still want to pursue a management degree. In short, NMAT helps strengthen your application, but it's not mandatory — Athena's selection is holistic and focuses more on potential and personality fit than just numbers.

You can apply for the MBA/PGPM programme at Athena School of Management (Mumbai) as soon as the admission cycle for the next academic year opens — typically around October to March for the main intake.Athena follows a round-based admission process, so it's best to apply early to increase your chances of selection and scholarship consideration. The school accepts NMAT, CAT, GMAT, GRE, or you can take their own test called the ASAT (Athena Scholastic Aptitude Test). If your profile looks strong and you perform well in the personal interview, you can receive your admission offer within a few weeks.
