B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2024
5.0
A good college with good placements.
Placements: 90% of students got placement in the last academic year. 10% of which got the package between 30-40 lakhs, 30% got package between 20-30 lakhs. The average package was 12-18 lakhs. Samsung, Adobe, Nokia, Wipro, etc. are top companies. Analyst and SDE were the top roles offered to the students.
Infrastructure: My college is in Gurgaon Haryana. I was not expecting a good infrastructure but when I visited my college for the first time it was above my expectations. College also provide medical facilities to the students. With the best recruitment, my college also provide best sports facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. They are friendly with everyone. They are so welcoming. Exams difficulty is of medium level but they genuinely test our knowledge. 37% is the pass percentage. Well you do not need to worry about passing the exam if you pay attention in the class only.

B M Group of Institutions is the emerging college of Gurgaon.
Placements: I am from BMGI course, and it is situated at Gurgaon. The total capacity of the CSE course is about 60 students. In the 4th year, many companies visit our college for placements, but they only select 10-12 students. Moreover, in terms of placements, I suggest you all to only believe on your own.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. There are 3 floors at which the ground floor is for administrative purpose. The second and third floor of our college is for teaching and laboratory purposes. The college provides canteen facility. Wi-Fi facility is available, but it is very slow. Classrooms are equipped with only fans.
Faculty: Not all faculty members in our college are helpful. Nowadays, college hires B.Tech guys to teach B.Tech students. Overall, their teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is very good as we know this course has a lot of jobs because of the executive use of computers.

Not so good, but not so bad.
Placements: The placements in the college are average. The top recruiting company was HCL. The salary package offered was normal. Nobody got an internship at that time. Job profile was according to company requirements. The interview process was normal, with grammatical and technical round.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are normal, the library was good, Wi-Fi facility was normal as compared by other colleges. I have no idea about the hostel. The quality of food available in the canteen is good when compared to facilities available in the canteen. I have no idea about the medical facility. Sports and games are organised well, active and entertaining environment, and everyone enjoyed at that time.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and very helpful to the students. The course curriculum is relevant. Teachers are very supportive and are always ready to help the students with their doubts.
Other: In computer science, we learn about many applications related to the computer. How do they run? How we make new applications.? As we know very well that, nowadays. Everybody uses some kind of electrical devices which are somewhere leads to computer technology. That's why I have chosen Computer Science. College organising events and fest from time to time. Campus crowd was so disciplined. Scholarships were given at admission Time according to the candidate's percentage. Many seminars were organised.

Review of B M Group of Institutions.
Placements: Almost 50% of the students got placed. The highest salary package of 3.12 LPA and the lowest salary package of 1.56 LPA are offered in our college. The top recruiting companies to our college are HCL, WRO and AppSquadz. The top roles offered are trainers for teaching the robotics programming in the government school. About 30% of the students got internships in companies like WRO, AppSquadz and HCL.
Infrastructure: The college provides infrastructure and facilities like labs for different departments like EGD, ET, chemistry lab, physics lab, computer lab, etc. The hostel has a mess, and the canteen is common for hostlers and college students. Sports facilities are available like cricket, badminton, basketball, etc.
Faculty: Some teachers don't have much experience in specific subjects. The maximum number of teachers have the qualification of only B.Tech and M.Tech. Seminars are conducted only on the most common topics like Java, advanced Java and hacking.

I am satisfied with the course curriculum and teachers, but more practical labs can be added.
Placements: Around 15-20% of the students from the final year got placed. The highest salary package of 3 LPA and the lowest salary package of 1.5 LPA were offered in our college. Techtronics Education India Ltd, Indian Army and HCL were the top recruiters to our college. Software tester and networking engineer were the top roles offered in our course. None of the students got internships.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility, library, labs, canteen, hostels, workshop and electronics, mechanical, computer science labs were good. I am a day scholar, but as per the hostelers that the food provided at the hostel was not very tasty and healthy. Sports meet is held once every year.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful but not much qualified because most of them were pursuing masters, and no doubt they were able to answer the queries of students. The course curriculum was almost similar to most of the colleges. However, it was relevant to make students industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in it. I wish that the college should add more practical lab classes in our course. The college organised an annual festival every year during my tenure, but I am not sure whether it organises now or not.

It has been a bad experience due to lack of placements.
Placements: The placements are not available except for students who opt BPO jobs. The college assures you that many big MNC companies like HCL, Wipro visit the college for the placements, but all were myths. None of the companies mentioned attended the college during my tenure. One or two companies visited the college but only for BPO posts. One startup company visited the college and offered placements to 3 to 4 students; they were given training and stipend. My friends and I attended off-campus placements and got a job.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average. The strength of the students is not very high. No medical facility is available. Classroom quality is like that of government schools in the villages. The quality of food available in the canteen is not good; the prices are not reasonable.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful. They were not overqualified; they were M.Tech, or B.Tech passed out. Certain things can be expected from the faculty members. There was no industrial exposure. Everything depends on self-learning, and that is how you clear your exams.
Other: No fest ever took place during my tenure in the college, except for the fresher's party. All the seniors contributed money for the party.

The college has good infrastructure and has less placements.
Placements: Only few IT companies have visited our campus. However, few of our seniors were selected by Essel Shyam with the package of 3.5 lakh per annum. HCL had conducted a placement drive at our campus offering about 1.8 lakh per annum to 3 lakh per annum. About 30% of the students from our batch were selected through campus placements. They were mainly selected for the role of trainee engineer. However, the college authorities had provided us internship offers from BSNL, Airtel etc. Also, students from other branches were selected for the internship in other leading companies. However, the placement is not good in this college but you will enough opportunities for the placements.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure with highly equipped classrooms with good facilties. All the classrooms and labs are equipped with Wi-Fi facilities. The labs are almost equipped with proper facilities and required materials. However, in this college, there is a scope for improvement. The college has a big playground and a basketball court. In every semester a sports competition is organised in the college. The canteen is available with average food quality. The hostel rooms are a bit small and need improvement. At our time, the college administration was building additional blocks for hostel and hope that must have been completed by this time. The boy's hostel is situated within the campus.
Faculty: The faculty at our time was good and helpful. Most of them were qualified, but still, we needed some better-qualified teachers. The college has recently recruited some more experienced faculty, and I hope that the quality would have been improved. However, the conventional method of teaching was mostly used at our time. The student-faculty ratio was 16:1 at our time. The college is affiliated with Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. However, a lots of students have huge numbers of backlog in the college. That is the main concern in our batch. However, the result has improved last previous sessions.
Other: If you are looking for an average college in Delhi NCR with proper facilities, this college is the best option for you. The college is about 26 km from Gurgaon nearby Farukhnagar. The college campus is located in a lush green atmosphere. However the teaching quality is improving a lot and hope it would be better at present.
