Balaji Institute of International Business offers a two-year full-time MBA course in four specialisations. Candidates need to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria to be able to apply for the course. The eligibility criteria are:

• Be a graduate from a UGC-recognised university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for the reserved category).
• Students currently in the final year of their graduation and confident of securing a minimum of 50% aggregate marks may also apply for the MBA courses. The admissions committee may give more weight to higher marks at graduation.
• It is necessary that the candidate have taken at least one exam out of CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, or MH-CET.
• For students seeking admission in the MBA programme in Finance, the preferred educational qualification is commerce. Students from other Science streams are discouraged. However, for Marketing specialisation in an MBA programme, students from any discipline can apply.

BIIB Pune conducts group discussion round for shortlisting candidates for MBA admission. It is for 30-45 minutes per group. This may include role play, case studies, and extempore speech and GD. 35% of the weightage in the merit list will be given to the GD process. Therefore the GD process may extend to the second day although all efforts will be made to complete the process in one day. 

Yes, BIIB Pune considers CAT score for admission to MBA course. However, it is not mandatory for candidates to qualify CAT. Aspirants with a valid score in MAT, CMAT, MAH CET can also get admission. The institute also conducts SBEST exam for admission to MBA programme. Selected candidates have to further pass the group discussion and personal interview round for final selection,

Candidates who have passed a master's degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (50% aggregate for SC/ ST) are eligible to apply for BIIB Pune PhD course. 

Aspirants who are fellow members of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), and Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI), with five years of professional experience are also eligible.

BIIB Pune accepts the scores of CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ MAH-CET for MBA admissions. The institute also conducts the Sri Balaji Entrance & Screening Test (SBEST) for MBA. Candidates shortlisted based on entrance exam are further called for a group discussion and personal interview round. Once selected, aspirants have to pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.

BIIB Pune selects candidates based on entrance exams such as UGC NET, UGC CSIR NET, GATE, etc. The institute also conducts an entrance test (SBUP-PET) for admission to the PhD programme. The qualifying marks for the entrance test is 50%. Selected candidates are further called for an interview/viva voce round for final selection.

Yes, BIIB Pune conducts an interview round for candidates shortlisted based on entrance exam score. Essay Writing is an integral part of the interview process. Applicants are required to appear for an essay writing exercise on a subject, which will be given on the spot in the selection centers. This will be for 30 marks and 50%  of the marks will be counted. This essay writing will be for half an hour. The topics will be general and anyone who follows the National Newspapers can easily appear for the same and score good marks.
