BIIB Pune selects candidates based on entrance exams such as UGC NET, UGC CSIR NET, GATE, etc. The institute also conducts an entrance test (SBUP-PET) for admission to the PhD programme. The qualifying marks for the entrance test is 50%. Selected candidates are further called for an interview/viva voce round for final selection.

Candidates who have passed a master's degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (50% aggregate for SC/ ST) are eligible to apply for BIIB Pune PhD course.

At postgraduate level, the institute offers MBA in four specialisations, namely Marketing Management, Financial, Digital and Business Formation and International Business. The course is offered in full time mode. The PhD programme is offered in part-time and full-time mode. The duration of the course is five-years.

BIIB Pune accepts CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, and MAH-CET scores for MBA admission. BIIB also conducts SBEST for aspirants who have not appeared for any of the accepted entrance exams. Yes, BIIB Pune considers CAT score for admission to MBA course. However, it is not mandatory for candidates to qualify CAT. Aspirants with a valid score in MAT, CMAT, MAH CET can also get admission. The institute also conducts SBEST exam for admission to MBA programme. Selected candidates have to further pass the group discussion and personal interview round for final selection,
