It is a good choice under Burdwan University.
Placements: After graduation, most of the students goes to other universities for higher studies. Some other students find jobs of government or public companies, and there are many ex-students of B.N. Mahavidyalaya working in top-ranked government jobs. However, there are some unsuccessful students here as well.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is in a medium to good condition. All its classrooms have electricity connection, and there are good toilets for both girls and boys. But the college needs lots of improvements in terms of keeping it clean and a good water connection. There are good labs of physics, chemistry, zoology, botany and nutrition, but the physics lab needs new apparatus as the old ones are not in a good condition to operate.
Faculty: The faculty members of each department are pretty knowledgeable, helpful and they understand us. In the science department, the ratio of student and the teachers are good. But in the arts department, it is not that good, which is why we need more permanent teachers in the arts department as well as the science department.
