The college is awesome, but some students will dissatisfy due to some of the management policies.
Placements: Caarmel Engineering College has an active placement cell. They organize campus recruitment programme yearly. Most of the participating institutions are IT based companies, they need software developers and programming associates. College has an active IEEE students branch, which co-ordinates the recruitment procedure. From the last 3 years, we can conclude that the rate of students participating in the campus recruitments is decreased. The main reason is due to the bond/agreement which was put forward by the recruiting company. The another reason for the above mentioned problem is that the lack of core institutions, because the students from departments other than software based are not willing to work as a software developers.
Infrastructure: Believers Church Caarmel Engineering College is located on perunad, pathanamthitta. The place is well known about the visual beauty of the green scenery. College has three blocks. Office and financial departments are in first block, labs and other departments is on the second and third blocks. College has a all time available mess/canteen were anything is available. College has a free Hi-Speed Wi-Fi facilities, but required to register for using flawlessly. Every classroom has projector, for the purpose of lecturing, seminar and project presentations etc. College has a medical room and is controlled by a professional head nurse. College has a basketball court and conduct sports day yearly. All sports, gym and games are controlled by physical training department.
Faculty: All the faculty members have required qualification and experience in their field of interest. Each and every faculty members use different method and style of teaching. For example, some teach with respect to the application of topics, some teaches according to the examination view, etc. Facilities including Head Of Department are interact with students friendly. They can ask and clear doubts anytime, anywhere. Most of the faculty members have industrial experience than teaching experience, so they are taking theif class in industrial / application level.
Other: College yearly conducts Arts fest and Tech fest, to expose the scope of engineering to the public or society. The campus has no politics or other issues, because of the powerful management. College celebrates public celebrations like onam, christmas, holi, without taking a single penny from students, Even food for the entire college is given freely by the management.

Review of Caarmel College Of Engineering.
Placements: There is a well organised and managed placement cell working in the campus. During my college years from 2012-2016 every year they have conducted job fairs and campus interviews a lot of my batchmates as well as my seniors got placed on different well reputed companies around India. A GOOD SALARY PACKAGE WAS ALSO ENSURED.
Infrastructure: The college is situated in a beautiful peaceful locality. Plenty of facilities including Wi-Fi and good network coverage. The campus is well equipied with great infrastructure include good lab facilities for all departments. And canteen and hostel facilities.
Faculty: It is registered under the Kerala Technical University (KTU) the course and curriculum is not very tough though it is a good university. I still remember all my teachers and staffs it is because only of their great knowledge and caring. Mechanical department consist of very good staffs.
Other: Students organize tech and various cultural fests.

If you have the ability to learn yourself and looking for just a degree, you can try this college
Placements: For core branches like mechanical, civil and EEE, there is no placement drive. Very few companies come to college for placement and for CS and IT branches, the college provides some off-campus drives. The college gives less importance to placements. In my batch, no one got placed, and in all branches, maximum 20 might have got placements out of 400 students.
Infrastructure: Even though the college is in a remote place, the management is trying to make the infrastructure better. During my final year, so many plans were proposed and some of them had been done. The college labs, classrooms and the library are good and they will meet up with the standards. The ground, the canteen and the hostel are maintained well. When I joined the college, the condition was worse but gradually, they made it in good condition. For infrastructure and all other facilities, I can give a rating of 2.5 out of 5.
Faculty: A few faculties had experience and most of them were M.Tech fresh graduates. Teaching was not so proper, and most of the students went for extra tuitions before exams. The pass percentage was very poor. When I joined the college, for the mechanical branch, it was only 4%. Now, the condition has changed and it has raised to a maximum of 25 to 35%. Most of the faculty members lack experience and practical-based teaching is very less. They just want to cover the syllabus for the sake of exams. Most of the students have bookish knowledge. If you are looking for just a degree, you can try this college but if you want to learn how to be a good engineer, then better try another college.
