From 2024 onwards, KEAM transitioned to a computer-based test with one paper. Before that, KEAM was held in pen and paper-based test mode and had two papers. Now, as per the latest KEAM exam pattern, the entrance exam for engineering courses has a total of 150 questions, with Mathematics having 75 questions, Physics having 45 questions, and Chemistry having 30 questions. Candidates get 180 minutes to complete the exam. For candidates appearing for KEAM BPharm ONLY, the entrance exam has 45 questions in Physics and 30 questions in Chemistry, to be completed within 90 minutes. Each correct answer fetches candidates four marks, while every incorrect answer results in a deduction of one mark.

KEAM Marking Scheme
In order to understand the KEAM question paper pattern, it is important to study the marking scheme in the exam. The exam marking scheme to understand the KEAM pass marks is similar to the JEE Main marking scheme.
- Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for every correct answer
- 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer
- 4 marks will be awarded to candidates for marking every accurate answer
- No marks will be deducted for not attempting a question
- In case a candidate has marked two answers for a single question in the OMR sheet, negative marking will be applicable regardless of either of the answers being right or wrong.

KEAM 2026 Mock Test
KEAM 2026 mock test is released online for students who want to prepare for the upcoming exam. Registered candidates can access official mock tests after logging in to their accounts. Since KEAM is computer-based, the students can attempt the mock test to increase their efficiency in answering the maximum number of questions in the exam. KEAM mock tests will also help them to know the exam pattern well and practice for the actual test.
