Admission to BIBS is strictly based on merit. So, it is not that easy to get admission to an MBA course in the BIBS. The candidate needs to fulfill the eligibility criteria and needs to have a valid entrance test score from tests like CAT, MAT, GMAT, and XAT. Entrance exams are competitive, and getting a good score requires dedicated preparation. Since direct admission is not an option, performance in these exams becomes a must. However, if you work regularly and then study in the same way, there's no reason you will not be able to secure an admission in BIBS for an MBA.

Bengal Institute of Business Studies has a very strict refund policy. The tuition fees paid are generally not refundable except under any valid reason or sudden circumstances. In some cases, the cancellation fee, as small the amount is, would be deducted. In cases of students who do not have a valid reason for withdrawal, the chances of refunding the money are scarce. For refunding, a student has to write a formal letter which again undergoes a review process, which takes around a week. A refund, upon sanction, is processed along with a penalty. One must be confident about joining the college before submitting the fee. Always refer to the official policy or contact the administration for details.

Bengal Institute of Business Studies, in general, is considered a Tier-2 business school in India. In general, Tier 1 institutions are those which happen to be ranked at the top and highly prestigious ones, such as IIMs, XLRI, and ISB, endowed with global reputation and known for their very competitive selection processes. Although BIBS can be said to have quite good education and placements, especially in Kolkata, it is not nationally or internationally famous like Tier 1 institutions. Yet, it is a good option in management studies, particularly in the mindset of students who seek quality education within eastern India.

In BIBS the maximum salary offered to students was of 13.LIST OF TABLES Chapter 2 Table 2. 6 Lacs Per Annum and the average being somewhere around 4 Lacs per annum. 5-6. 25 LPA. Unlike the freshers, the search results fail to offer CIEM placement details which can be broken down. Further, BIBS is accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ Grade and positioned as one among the three top B-schools in Eastern India by The Times of India, pin pointing it’s educational credibility and linkages that potentially play a major role in preparing their students for excellent jobs placements. However, as concerns ranking and placement statistics of CIEM it has been elucidated that ranking and placement achievement is remarkable but the specific statistics of CIEM has not been mentioned so specific comparison could not be made.
