BIMTECH Admission & Application Process 2026
BIMTECH offers full-time 2-year PGDM programme and doctoral research programmes (FPM/EFPM). Admissions are merit-based and do not involve direct management quota. For more details about BIMTECH admission and application process check below information:
- PGDM (Core) & PGDM (International Business): Candidates are evaluated on national test marks, followed by Extempore and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.
- PGDM (Insurance Business Management) and PGDM (Retail Management): Accepts CAT or XAT or GMAT or CMAT and accepts MAT marks. Shortlisted students attend Extempore and Personal Interview (PI) sessions.
- Fellow Programme in Management (FPM - Doctoral): Requires a Master's degree with minimum 60% marks. Candidates must qualify the BIMTECH Research Aptitude Test (RAT) and interview, or hold a valid UGC-NET / GATE / CAT marks for direct interview exemption.
Application Process Steps
The application process is uniform for all full-time BIMTECH PGDM courses. Students can apply for many courses in a single application by ranking their preferences.

- Diversity Weightages: Additional profile points are awarded during final merit preparation for Female Applicants (5%), Non-UP/NCR Regional Candidates (5%), and candidates with Engineering/Maths background (8%).
Admission Process:
- Candidates are called for interview rounds based on their entrance exam marks and past academic record.
- Selected candidates participate in online, offline, extempore speaking and personal interview (PI).
- Final selection is based on Entrance Exam (35%), Personal Interview (30-35%), Academics (10-14%), Work Experience (8-13%), and Diversity Points.
- Selected students receive an offer letter and must pay the seat-booking fee by the deadline to confirm admission.

Keep clear scanned copies ready before starting the application:
- Class 10 and 12 marksheets & passing certificates.
- Semester-wise marksheets or degree certificate (Provisional certificate allowed for final-year students).
- Official scorecard for CAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT, or MAT.
- Experience certificates, appointment letters, and recent salary slips (if applicable).
- Caste/EWS certificate or Minority declaration certificate (for ESCS quota applicants).

Commonly asked questions On Admissions
Candidates can apply for MBA course at BIMTECH if they have scored 65% in graduation. Aspirants must complete graduation with a minimum agggregate of 50% to apply for MBA. However, selection to the course is done on the basis of score obtained by the applicants in entrance tests plus PI and Extempore rounds conducted by the institue.
At BIMTECH, students can pursue the PGDM course across several specialisations such as International Relations, Retail Management, Insurance Business Management and more. Additionally, students are also offered a Fellow Programme in Management (FPM). Professionals who have a working experience of at least five years at a managerial or equivalent post can apply for the Executive Fellow Programme in Management. Please note in the event of an inappropriate break (without work experience) after your Graduation, you will be required to provide a justification during the selection process. Having work experience between Graduation and year of PGDM admission shall be treated as valid.

Additional weightage will also be given to candidates who have done Graduation from NIRF ranked (preceding year NIRF ranking) top 100 Colleges/ Universities/ Engineering Colleges.
However, management reserves the right to relax this particular norm on the merit of the case, if the candidate is from a start-up, entrepreneurial or social organization.
# For getting regional weightage, submission of valid proof of residence is must. The domicile certificate issued by a competent authority or copy of passport/Aadhar etc. can be submitted as an additional document. (Applicable only to the candidates coming from other than UP & NCR Region).
#For getting ESCS category weightage, relevant certificate issued by a competent authority for EWS/SC/ST/OBC/Minority Communities (Muslim/Sikh/Christian/Buddhist/Parsi/Jain) has to be submitted. Management reserves the right to make minor changes to address diversity on gender and social parameters.
