Birla Institute of Management Technology offers a large diversity of courses to students in Management field. BIMTECH admissions are held on the basis of entrance tests. Candidates can apply for MBA course at BIMTECH if they have scored 65% in graduation. Aspirants must complete graduation with a minimum agggregate of 50% to apply for MBA. However, selection to the course is done on the basis of score obtained by the applicants in entrance tests plus PI and Extempore rounds conducted by the institue.

At BIMTECH, students can pursue PGDM (International Business) programme in specialisations such as Strategy & Consulting, Marketing, Finance and Banking, Operations & Decision Science are offered. Similarly in PGDM (IBM) program, students are given exposure of all the relevant inputs related to important functional domains, be it, Life Insurance, General Insurance, Health Insurance and InsurTech while in PGDM (RM) program, Visual Merchandising, Franchise Management and Analytical skills with respect to Retail Service Operations are covered.

BIMTECH PGDM curriculum emphasizes experiential learning, including live projects, summer internships, simulations, industry certifications, and leadership development through the LEAD programme, ensuring strong industry readiness. It has been divided into trimester for easier learning.

PGDM programme provides opportunity for students to undertake specializations in functional areas of Strategy & Consulting, Marketing,  Finance & Banking, Human Resource and Operations & Decision Science while in PGDM (International Business) programme, only Strategy & Consulting, Marketing, Finance and Banking, Operations & Decision Science are offered. In both the programmes, Emerging Industry specialisations like IT/ITeS, BFSI, Data Analytics & Digital Business are also offered.

Candidates are selected based on two parts. The first part is the Merit, and the second is the Supernumerary. A total of 5% seats are reserved for the ESCS will be open for the general category if not filled by the ESCS category.

It is not necessary to have work experience to apply for MBA or FPM courses at BIMTECH. Aspirants citing work experience need to have an appointment ketter and a recent pay slip as a proof.

The BIMTECH CAT Cutoff was released for the year 2024  for students aiming for admissions at Birla Institute of Management Technology for it's MBA/PGDM programme.
