BITS Hyderabad offers a four-year BPharm course. Admission to the Pharmacy course is based on merit in BITSAT. Additionally, it is crucial that each of the aspirants meet the course-specific eligibility criteria. BITS Hyderabad accept applications in online mode.

BITS Hyderabad BPharm Admission 2023: Fee, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

The four-year course is divided into eight semesters. BITS Hyderabad admit candidates on the basis of entrance exam scores. However, direct admission is also available for the first-rank holders in Class 12 all over India irrespective of the score obtained in BITSAT. Further, the BPharm course fee, eligibility, and selection details are mentioned in the table given below:

Eligibility: Class 12 pass from a recognised central or state board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and proficiency in English. In addition, the student shall have scored at least 75% overall aggregate in Class 12 and at least 60% aggregate in each of the subjects, including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates who have studied PCM can also apply.

BITS Hyderabad BPharm Application Process 2023

Candidates seeking admission to the BPharm programme at BITS Hyderabad are required to register for BITSAT 2023. The steps to be followed for registration and form filling are:

Step 1: As the first step, students have to register for BITSAT 2023 (bitsadmission.com) by entering various details such as their name, gender and date of birth, etc.

Step 2: After successful registration, students will be redirected to a new window to complete the application form.

Step 3: After entering all the details in the application form, candidates will need to upload scanned images of their recent passport-size colour photograph and signature.

Step 4: As the last step to fill out the application form, candidates have to pay the application fee online through credit/debit card or internet banking.

Step 5: Take a printout of the duly filled application form for future use.

BITS Hyderabad BPharma Placements 2024

During BITS Pilani placements 2024 according to media reports, the average and median package stood at INR 20.36 LPA and INR 17 LPA, respectively. Out of the total 3,202 registered students, 2592 students were placed in reputed companies. The institute recorded an 81% placement rate in the academic year 2023-2024. The top recruiters of BITS Piclani Hyderabad placements in 2024 included Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, Intel, Micron, Nvidia, AMD, MediaTek, Dover, Wabtec, Ramboll, Reliance Industries, Bajaj Auto, etc.

Earlier, the media reports shows the top and average package of BITS Hyderabad placements 2023 was INR 60.75 LPA and INR 30.37 LPA, respectively. It is slightly expensive, but it is worth every penny.

Placements: Placements are extremely good in all sectors, and a lot of opportunities pave your way if you are a BIT student. The previous semester has been a boom for BITS Hyderabad placements. The highest domestic salary package offered is 52 LPA by Google India to Janani Padmananan to a girl student. The average salary package offered was 5.5 LPA in 2015. The average salary package offered was 9.2 LPA in the 2016 first semester. The branch-specific average package has not been disclosed yet. Students who score less than 6 CGPA get an average salary package of 5.5 LPA. Students who score CGPA between 6 and 7 get an average salary package of 6.5 LPA. Students who score CGPA between 7 and 8 get an average salary package of 7.6 LPA. Students who score greater than 8 CGPA get an average salary package of 8.2 LPA.

Infrastructure: The campus life is an extremely jolly one which is the best four years in the life of any BIT student. The gender ratio is extremely good and balanced. The infrastructure is world-class, from a huge student activity center to all sports grounds, other extremely good academic buildings, and labs. The campus culture is cheerful. There are many clubs and societies so that you can join and explore your talent in every field.

Faculty: Faculty members are extremely knowledgeable. They come from all over India and abroad from very good colleges like IITs, BITS, and other prestigious colleges from around the world. They help you in every way possible, and you can work under them for the projects they are taking and gain a lot of experience.

Other: The fee structure is relatively on the expensive side, owing to BITS is a private institute. The infrastructure and opportunities provided to every student are worth all the money you spend. The fee per semester is almost 1.5 lacs, including your hostel and mess expenses. Students can add Rs. 20,000 per semester as their personal expense. In total, it becomes 3.4 lacs per year. However, you can avail a scholarship easily at BITS. There is a merit scholarship for the people who are in the top scorers of a batch. Merit cum need scholarships are very easy to get if your family income is less than 10 lacs. You can get an 80% scholarship if your CGPA is 8.5. Even the people with 6.5 CGPA get a 20% scholarship. Loans are easy to get, and there are various schemes from different banks to get you a loan.

BITS is a good college, and you can go for it.

Placements: In B. Pharma, most students prefer to go for higher studies, but due to Covid-19, many of them sat for placements and got placed. The average salary package offered would be around 6 LPA. Most of the companies which come for other branches were open for our degree also. Everyone who wanted to get internships got it. But this year, very few PPOs were offered overall in all branches. Top roles offered are in IT and consulting.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in our college are great. Many food options are available. Sports and medicinal facilities are also available. Faculty members are helpful and provide the right guidance in every problem. The library is accessible to all with books of all genres. Acad block has air-conditioners, so students generally study in the library during summer-time.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are awesome. This course provides basic knowledge in building a career in pharma. Students are free to choose among various opportunities which they get. Sometimes B.Pharma students may land a job in IT or consultancy or a bank. BITS makes students ready for tough situations.

Other: BITS has magic. There is nothing to improve. Extracurricular activities are also well organised.

To apply for the B.Arch programme at BITS Pilani – Hyderabad Campus, student must have 75% in physics, chemistry and mathematics and for other subjects it should be 60% .
