BITSAT Sample Papers are an essential part of the preparation process. Candidates can check the sample papers of BITSAT to know the pattern of the examination and the type of questions that commonly appears on the question paper. Q:   Will BITSAT be held online?

A:

Yes. BITSAT will be held online i.e., as a computer-based test. The authorities will not conduct any other mode of examination. As per the BITSAT exam pattern, the candidates will have to select the correct option for the respective question from the available options. Candidates will have to be present at the examination centre, which will be allotted as per the preferences submitted in the BITSAT application form. The details regarding the allotted exam centre will be released through the BITSAT admit card. 

 

Q:   What will be the medium of the BITSAT question paper?

A:

The authorities will conduct BITSAT 2024 as a computer-based test. As per the official BITSAT exam pattern, the entrance examination will be held in English medium only. Candidates will not have the option to choose their preferred language for the examination. All of the questions and instructions of BITSAT 2024 paper will be in English. However, if the candidates face any problems during questions, they can seek the help of the invigilators in the examination centre. Candidates are advised to be ready to attempt the examination in English.

 

Q:   How are the questions selected for the BITSAT paper?

A:

To prepare the BITSAT question paper, the authorities will randomly select the questions from a large question bank. The questions will be selected from the 10+2th standard syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, English Proficiency, Logical Reasoning, and Mathematics/ Biology. Since the examination is held in different slots, the question sets will differ for the candidates. To ensure that the question sets are of the same difficulty level and type, an expert commitee will be selected to prepare the paper. It is to be noted that the decision of the expert committee will be final.

 

Advantages of Solving BITSAT Sample Papers

While preparing for BITSAT, the sample papers are considered one of the most important materials to help the candidates secure a good performance. Some of the advantages of solving the sample papers of BITSAT are given below.

Candidates are advised to attempt mock tests regularly while preparing for BITSAT. Through the mock tests, the candidates will be able to understand how the entrance examination will be held. Mock tests also allow the candidates to assess their preparation progress and identify their commonly made mistakes. After identifying their commonly made mistakes, the candidates can work on it so that the same is not made during the examination. Mock tests also help the candidates to build their time management skills. 

 

Q:   What should be my preparation strategy to qualify BITSAT exam?

A:

To qualify BITSAT the students are advised to create a strong preparation plan. Firstly, the students should check and be familiar with the BITSAT exam pattern and syllabus. This will allow the students to understand how the examination will be held and know the subjects and topics that have to be studied. A proper timetable has to be created that will allow the students to finish the syllabus beforehand and give them enough time for revision. Mock tests and sample papers should be attempted regularly so that they are able to understand their weak areas and work on them. Students should also ensure that they get enough rest and are healthy fo the examination.

A:
Yes. BITSAT exam pattern is considered to be an essential part of the preparation process and the candidates are advised to refer to it. Candidates will be able to understand how the examination will be held through the exam pattern of BITSAT. Q:   What are the sections in the BITSAT paper?

A:

BITSAT paper will consist of four sections - Part I (Physics), Part II (Chemistry), Part III (English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning) and Part IV (Mathematics or Biology). The questions will be prepared based on the various topics of these sections and will assess the candidate's aptitude in the subject. For a higher chance of securing good marks, the candidates are advised to attempt all of the questions in the sections. However, since there is negative marking, the candidates will have to be careful while selecting their answer. 

 

Q:   What is the marking scheme of BITSAT?

A:

BITS Pilani have announced the marking scheme along with the BITSAT 2024 exam pattern. For every correct answer, the candidates will be awarded 3 marks. However, if the candidate marks the wrong answer, then 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions. Before the examination, the candidates are advised to carefully check the marking scheme, so that they are aware of how they will be marked for their answers. Since there is negative marking, the candidates are advised to leave the questions unattempted, if they are not sure of the answers. 

 

Q:   What are the BITSAT additional questions?

A:

The authorities will allow the candidates to answer additional questions, if they are able to complete the 130 questions the BITSAT paper before the duration of the examination ends. There will be 12 additional questions that the candidates will be able to attempt within the remaining time. It is to be noted that the additional questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology sections and Logical Reasoning sections. From each subject, 3 additional questions will be prepared. Candidates who attempt the additional questions will not be allowed to go back and correct their previously answered 130 questions.

Hey there,

 

To qualify to BITSAT which is the entrance exam for BITS Pilani (Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad) campuses, you need to score >75% in your 12th exam. 

 

You can give improvement exam for all the subjects together to be eligible to give BITSAT next year if you are not a droper.

As per the information available official website of BITS Pilani, only those candidates who are appearing for their class 12 in the year 2024 or completed their class 12 in 2023 are eligible to apply for BITSAT 2024.
