Q:   Can I get direct admission in BITS Hyderabad?
A: 

Yes, BITS Pilani Hyderabad offer direct admissions. Candidates who are first-rank holders of all the Central and State boards are admitted directly to the specialisation of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT score. However, the aspirants have to submit the relevant documents to the institute to seek direct admission.

Q:   How many marks should I score in BITSAT for BITS, Hyderabad?
A: 

BITS Hyderabad MBA admission 2023 is based on CAT and XAT scores. Candidates seeking admission to MBA course offered by BITS Hyderabad must have appeared for either XAT or CAT. Q:   Can I join BITS Pilani Hyderabad without BITSAT?
A: 

BITS Pilani Hyderabad admission 2025 is entrance-based. BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus offers four Integrated First Degree, Higher Degree, and PhD programmes. The selection criteria for some of the courses such as BTech, BSc, M.Tech etc. required BITSAT entrance exam scores. Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is an entrance exam conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, for admissions to undergraduate engineering courses (BE) at its  Pilani campus.

Q:   How can I get admission in BITS Hyderabad?
A: 

Candidates seeking admission shall first check the course-specific eligibility criteria. Eligible students can further fill out the application form for the respective course/or the required examination. BITS Hyderabad offers admission to BE/BPharm/MSc courses is based on merit in BITSAT. For ME/MPharm course admission, BITS HD exam or GATE/GPAT scores are considered. Candidates qualifying for the exam are further called for counselling. Moreover, aspirants seeking admission to PhD programmes need to take the respective entrance test for admission as well.

Q:   Can I take admission to BITS Hyderabad with JEE Main score?
A: 

No, admission to the BE programmes is based on merit in the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) only. BITS Pilani Hyderabad does not accept any other entrance test scores. Hence, aspirants shall ensure that they take the entrance test and secure a good score. For completion of the admissions-related procedures, on the day of reporting, the aspirant required to get the following documents verified in the original. Along with the original, students are requested to bring two sets of self-attested photocopies of all the documents mentioned below:

  • Class 12 mark sheet and pass certificate
  • Matriculation/Secondary-School/10 Pass Certificate issued by the Board (Original & Copy)
  • Transfer/Migration Certificate (Original & Copy)

Q:   Does BITS Pilani Hyderabad provide scholarships?
A: 

BITS Scholarship Endowment Fund is created to provide scholarships to meritorious students with a constrained financial background. The fund aims to create an endowment of INR 2 crore, which shall be invested as a Fixed Deposit and the interest generated shall be used to fund the scholarship.

At present, Merit-Cum-Means Scholarships are awarded to students whose annual family income from all sources is less than INR 8 lakh. The cut-off CGPA for each level is decided every year, however, an approximate number of students receiving the BITS Hyderabad scholarships are mentioned below:

The overall experience with college is really good and I will definitely recommend it to others.
Placements: I am still pursuing my degree which is WILP B.Sc. in computer and designing programs from BITS, and it has really a great experience till now. As for the package and everything the students get a very good and satisfactory package. Top recruitment companies in BUTS are Accenture, Cognizant, EY, HSBC, Yes Bank, and KPMG. The highest package offered to CS IT students at BITS is 60 LPA.
Infrastructure: BITS is a fully residential campus with state-of-the-art infrastructure, including well-equipped laboratories, modern classrooms, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, various sports grounds, and campus-wide internet connectivity. The labs and classrooms are good.
Faculty: The faculty is really cooperative. They are highly qualified with a large majority holding PhD and are known for their strong industry experience. They have diverse teaching methodologies and focus on keeping the curriculum updated with current industry requirements.
Other: If you are looking for the best college around you then BITS is definitely a good choice.

Ups and downs of BITS through some unknown insights.
Placements: In my course, according to the current data, almost 98.57% of students got placed even with the current recession era. The highest salary package offered is 84 LPA. The average salary package offered is 18.34 LPA, and the lowest salary package is not mentioned to us. Top recruiting companies like Google, Amazon, and Nvidia visit the college for placements. The internship is compulsory in our college, and our college itself provides us with it through a scheme called practice school.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility in our hostel is not good. The land cables work better than the Wi-Fi. Classrooms are neat and tidy. Hostels are clean, but there is a dumping ground near, which sometimes ends with a bad odour. The mess food is better than most of the colleges, and the canteen is affordable. Sports facilities are quite good and almost every sports facility is available. We all get medical insurance.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful. They set up a Chembur consultation hour which helps us to get a one-on-one interaction with them. The course curriculum is based on Massachusetts University as it is one of the leading universities of the world. Questions are logically based instead of rote learning. Exams are quite difficult, which makes us more competitive.
Other: BITS is a recognised institute all over the country, just in comparison with the IIT. I chose this course because of the exposure I would get in this college. The best thing is the alumni network and the helpful seniors. I feel the fee is quite high, and if BITS can be made a little bit more affordable then it would be better. It regularly organises fests like technical fests and cultural fests which are quite large-scale and fun, Almost hundreds of other college members come to our campus in fests. We get a scholarship both on merit and merit-based.

Placements: My course has a placement rate of up to 95%, with the remaining students pursuing their passions or starting their own businesses. The highest domestic package offered is 60 LPA, and the highest international package is up to 3 crores. Internships are offered based on CGPA, and students who pass all their subjects are eligible to apply. Graduates of BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, have gone on to become CEOs of top companies. Companies like Tata and Suzuki hire from my course.
Infrastructure: Every classroom is a digital classroom, and wifi is available everywhere on campus. The library is huge and has numerous books on a variety of subjects and genres. The food is good and healthy, with a variety of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are also many food stalls where you can hang out with your friends. All sports have their own unique facilities on campus.
Faculty: The faculty were chosen by us, and each one holds a PhD from a reputable institution. The curriculum is relevant and industry-based, similar to IITs and NITs. Semester exams are a bit harder than other colleges, but the class timings are chosen by the students.
Other: The course is provided and is based on a BITS score. If you are interested in your course, then it's fine; if not, you can do minors in the courses of your interest. There are also events held grandly every year.

Our college provides a vibrant life for students and very good career opportunities.
Placements: In the 2023 batch, around 92% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 65 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 24 LPA. In CS, top recruiting companies are Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, and Deloitte. Internships are purely based on the CGPA obtained and students receive the stipend after it. These internships are paid but we receive more stipends than we paid for in the first place so it is worth it.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. As it is a private college, they collect a good amount of fees to maintain hostels. Wi-Fi is provided to every student with a limit of 10 GB per day. LAN is provided in every room. Classrooms have air conditioners. They are good. The mess is good. The menu keeps changing frequently. Sports facilities are very good.
Faculty: Our faculty members are helpful. They solve doubts properly. They explain all concepts in detail and give tips on how to study and perform well in exams. They provide many life lessons to balance fun and academics. The course is very relevant and industry-compatible. The semester exams are easy to pass. Almost every student passes exams without much difficulty if they attend the classes.
Other: The crowd is very good as everyone is here because of merit. There is no management quota and reservations. The crowd is not diluted as all are deserving candidates. For economically weaker students, there are scholarships based on academic performance in our college. The campus is well-connected with an airport, railway stations, and the main city. We have many buses and autos. The cars for airports are easily accessible.

Absolutely satisfied with placements and teachers, a really good building and facilities.
Placements: Placements are good with approximately 96 percent of the students getting placed. Google, Microsoft, and Amazon like big companies come to recruit in the placements drive. There is PS provided which is unpaid. After second year, PS is provided to all the students which is very beneficial.
Infrastructure: The college is very big having a lot of greenery. Wi-Fi is available all the time. There is a library and classrooms as well. There are many facilities like sports, games and medical facilities. Overall, it is a great college. There is a canteen in the campus and the food is really yummy.
Faculty: The teachers are very good, helpful and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is great, it makes the students industry ready. There are certain subjects which are difficult, you need to study them well to gain good CGPA which really matters a lot. The course is really good in our college.
Other: Due to the increasing demand of this course, I chose CSE. Top fest are organized. There are scholarships provided for the students. The college had a good crowd and the campus is full of trees.

Q:   Is BITS Hyderabad better than NIT?
A: 

BITS Hyderabad is a private college, while NITs are government-run technology institutes. The total tuition fee for BE courses at BITS Hyderabad is INR 19.94 lakh. While the tuition fee for BTech courses at NITs is nearly INR 5 lakh. For admission to an NIT, candidates need to have a valid JEE Main score. However, for admission at BITS, candidates can take the BITSAT exam conducted by the institute.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for BE courses at BITS Pilani Hyderabad?
A: 

For admission to BE courses at BITS Hyderabad, the candidate shall be a Class 12 pass from a recognised board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. An applicant shall have adequate proficiency in English as well. Moreover, the aspirant should have passed the qualifying exam with at least 75% aggregate in Class 12 and a minimum of 60% aggregate in each of the subjects, including PCM.

Q:   What is the minimum cutoff for BITS Hyderabad BITSAT 2023 for BE Computer Science?
A: 

BITS Hyderabad BITSAT cutoff 2023 for BE Computer Science have not been released in public domain and are behind the login. Going by the past year trend BITSAT cutoff 2022 after Iteration 1 for BE Computer Science offered at Birla Institute of Technology and Science Hyderabad stood at 279, for 2021 it was 319 and for 2020 it was 292.32. Hence, Estimated BITS Hyderabad BITSAT cutoff 2023 after Iteration 1 for BTech Computer Science should range between 279 and 319.

Also, BITS Hyderabad cutoff for other BE specialisations have witnessed a decline in scores last year as compared to the previous years because of the change in the BITSAT 2022 exam pattern. Further, BITS Hyderabad BITSAT 2023 Iteration 1 results have been released on Jul 1, whereas Iteration 2 is expected to release on Jul 8.

Q:   What is the cut off for BITS Hyderabad?
A: 

BITS Hyderabad releases a course-wise cut-off list after the conclusion of the respective entrance exams. In 2022, the maximum mark required for admission to the courses through BITSAT was 390. Q:   Can I book more than one slot during the BITSAT 2023 slot booking?
A: 

No. Candidates were not allowed to book more than one slot during the BITSAT slot booking 2023 process. While selecting their examination slots, the candidates were only allowed to select one examination date and timing as per their preference and availability. After the slots were selected and submitted, requests for change of slots were not accepted by the authorities. Candidates should also note that the BITSAT slot booking process was a one-time facility and therefore they were not allowed to log in again and choose their slots.
