Established in the year 1971, Budge Budge College is located in Kolkata, West Bengal. The college is affiliated to University of Calcutta, Kolkata. The college offers Honors and General courses in BA, B.Com and B.Sc in different disciplines of Arts, Commerce and Science respectively.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses

Budge Budge College offers UG courses in the field of Arts, Commerce and Science.

In the field of arts, the college offers BA (General) and BA (Honors) in specialisations such as Bengali, Education, English, Geography, History, Philosophy and Political Science. The minimum eligibility for a student to pursue BA General is class 12^th in any stream. For BA Honors, the student must have passed class 12^th with atleast 50% overall and 60% in the relevant subject.

In the field of Science, the college offers BSc (General) and BSc (Honors) in specialisations such as Botany, Economics, Food & Nutrition and Zoology. For BSc (General), the candidate must have passed class 12^th in any stream. For BSc (Honors), the candidate must have passed class 12^th with 60% overall and 55 in the relevant subject.

In the field of Commerce, the college offers BCom (General) and BCom (Honors) in Accountancy. For BCom, the candidate must have passed class 12^th from commerce stream. For BCom (Honors), the candidate must have passed class 12^th in commerce stream with atleast 50% and accountancy as a mandatory subject.

Key Points:

Students with compartments in 12th in any subject are not eligible to apply for Honors Degree courses.

Students belonging to SC/ ST categories must have 40% in aggregate along with 40% in the specific subject of Honors to apply.

Reservations for ST/SC/OBC/PH categories are awarded as per the norms of the Govt. of India and Calcutta University.

Budge Budge College Admission Process

All admissions are initially provisional, subject to approval of University of Calcutta, by registering the candidates in their respective combinations. Admission commences immediately after the publications of the results if the Higher Secondary Examination. Students seeking admission to Budge Budge College must obtain an application form which should be duly filled in and submitted for necessary orders.

Applicants for admission are advised to apply personally without the original mark sheets. Candidates coming from other universities or Boards or Counsels or students with a break in their study, etc. should ascertain their eligibility from the Calcutta University before the registration of their admission.

Budge Budge College Application Process

The aspiring students planning to take admission in Budge Budge College must register themselves with the official website. To apply for admission in the college, students must follow the below mentioned application procedure:

• Visit the official website and click “Online Admission” under the tab “Admission”.
• Register by creating a login Id and password.
• Successful registration generates Registration number and security PIN.
• With the use of the Registration number and security PIN, the candidates can login to the portal.
• Fill up the online application form carefully by selecting the course of choice from the drop down menu.
• A student can select up to 3 Honors subjects for admission.
• Click the ‘Continue’ button to modify the filled data, followed by the generation of a Bank Challan to make cash payment in any nearby branch of Canara Bank.
• Payment is to be made in the mentioned time frame to successfully submit the course.
• Candidates called for counselling must bring the documents.
• One self-attested photocopy along with the originals of 10th & 10+2-mark sheets and passing certificates
• Caste certificate, if applicable.

Print out of the application form is to be submitted online

• Original paid receipt of Bank challan (stamped)
• Stamped sized photograph is also required
