CDAC offers a 3 years Master of Computer Applications (MCA) course at the PG level. To be eligible for CDAC Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme Candidate must have completed BCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science)/B.Sc. ( Technology)/ B.Voc. (Software Engg.) or equivalent. Or candidate must have completed at least 3 years Bachelors Degree with mathematics/statistics at 10+2 level or graduation level. Candidate must have passed with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examinations. Admission is through counseling based on the rank obtained in Common Entrance Test (CET). NIMCET is also a entrance criteria.

NIMCET 2024 counselling was concluded with Round 4 of the Seat Allotment Result for admission to the MCA course. However CDAC Centre for Development of Advanced Computing has not yet released the NIMCET cut off scores officially. To pass the NIMCET qualifying exam, candidates must achieve at least 60% of their total marks or a 6.5 CGPA on a scale of ten. The special round seat allotment offers were released on July 29, 2024.The authority released all vacant positions in participating institutes on 23 July 2024 after 3 rounds of counselling. Candidates can check the opening and closing ranks of all rounds at nimcet.admissions.nic.in.

The admission procedure for CDAC's M.Tech programs consists of many critical components. Prospective candidates must have completed an undergraduate degree with at least 50% aggregate marks. Admission is determined by performance in either the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) or the IPU CET (Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test). The M.Tech programs last two to three years and include 13 different courses. Tuition prices range from INR 78,000–INR 2.4 lakhs. The centre has 273 seats available throughout its numerous M.Tech degrees.

For the majority of batches, almost all centres have been successful in placing about 80% of candidates. Among the top employers of C-DAC are GE, GE Industrial, Honeywell, Cisco, HSBC, Fast Track, Indigo Architects, Infosys, etc. The typical compensation package for students, according to C-DAC, is between INR 4.5 Lakh and INR 8 Lakh and the highest salary package offered to the students is around INR 13 LPA. Employers shortlist applicants based on a number of factors, such as C-DAC course scores.
