Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.Hons.) - Batch of 2026

Affordable college but lacks basic facilities and proper management.
Placements: In my batch, there are almost 319 students who take admission, out of which around 50 students leave the college. There is no placement provided in this college. No recruiting companies visit for my course. We are doing internships under IIT Bombay, and it is given to all students as it carries marks. No specific roles are offered.
Infrastructure: The library is good in our college, but for the B.Com Honours course under NEP (FYUGP). We don’t get the books that should be available for our course. Classrooms are good. We have 40 computers in our college, out of which only 23 work. The infrastructure is very poor. The canteen is a mess, don’t go there. They don’t even conduct sports and games sometimes. Even this year, they didn’t. I have not seen any medical facilities available at our college till date.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching of some teachers is the best, but most are worst. They just teach once, and if you ask any doubt, they say, What were you doing when I was explaining. This course is not curriculum-relevant. It does not make students industry-ready. The semester exams are not very hard. The total marks are 100, out of which 60 are for the theory exam and 40 for sessional exams. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose this course because I want to go into the banking sector. The course can be improved if they teach us more practical knowledge rather than only book-based content. The events and fests are worse compared to the colleges nearby.

Really Good Faculty and Placements.
Placements: 60-80% of students were placed, even though the placement salary was not that high. As a bachelor, you can expect a salary of ₹2-3 lakhs per annum after pursuing B.Com (Hons) from Chandra Kamal Bezbaruah Commerce College, which I think is decent for a graduate student.
Infrastructure: The college campus is very good, with infrastructures like an auditorium, indoor stadium, digital room, and a big library for the students that has two air conditioners. The hostel's food is decent, and the rooms are also good according to the price.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, and they communicate with the students in an easy manner. You can ask anything, anytime, about any topic. They provide all the necessary notes. The exams conducted are very frequent, and the difficulty of the exams is fair as well.

Our college provides good faculty members and facilities.
Placements: Many students get placements in different companies. Many of our seniors got placed as accountants. One of the students from our college got a job in the railway sector. Our college celebrates a job fair. Students from the 5th and 6th semesters got internships in companies like Hyundai, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college can be rated 4-star because there is no boys' hostel. Library has a Wi-Fi facility, many books, a print-out facility, and different cabins for students to study. Classrooms are good with projectors. The canteen is good and clean. It serves food at reasonable prices.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. They provide notes. Teaching quality is good. They use projectors to teach students. Our college arranges industrial visits and many more. There are two sessional exams with projects and PPTs.
Other: I chose this course because I want to pursue MBA. The best thing about this course is students gain good knowledge and real-world experience. Our college organises cultural events and sports. It provides scholarships. Our campus is good and has a natural field. There are many extracurricular activities such as art and craft, job fairs, etc.

It is the best college in Jorhat with all educational facilities.
Placements: There are 360 students in our batch. Around 60-70% of students got placed in this course. Many students opted for sole proprietorship business. The minimum salary package offered was 3 LPA. The highest salary package offered ranges between 7 LPA - 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: The facilities are very good. The infrastructure is better. Classrooms are well-maintained. Canteen is decent. There is a very good library in this college. Boys' hostel is not available in this college.
Faculty: All teachers are well qualified. The teaching quality is better. All teachers have doctorate degrees. This college is affiliated with Dibrugarh University with the guidelines issued by UGC.
Other: The course is average. You can get a high-profile job and even you can be a small-wage earning worker, depending upon the qualities of communication and skills. In CKB you would get a lot of opportunities for skill enhancement and knowledge growth.
