University of Science and Technology Meghalaya admissions 2026 are open for Diploma, UG and PG courses. Interested candidates can apply for their desired course by visiting the official university's website. A few more updates are as follows:
- The MAT 2026 Feb session registration is open. For PBT mode, the last date to register is Feb 23, 2026, and the test is scheduled for Mar 1, 2026. Further, for CBT mode, the registration closes on Mar 2, 2026, and the test will be held on Mar 8, 2026.
- The CUET UG 2026 registration process is now closed for admission to various UG courses. The exam for the same is going to be conducted from May 11 to May 31, 2026.
- The CUET PG 2025 result has been released for admission to PG courses. Candidates who appeared in the exam can view and download their scorecards by using their login details on the official website.

No, After completing LLB you become a lawyer, however, you are still not an advocate and hence cannot practice law. To become an advocate and to practice law as a profession, you mandatorily need to clear the All India Bar Examination (AIBE). After qualifying AIBE, one can practice law as a full fledged profession.
No, you cannot become a lawyer without a Law degree. You mandatorily need to obtain degrees such as BA/BCom/BSc/BBA LLB or LLB in order to be a lawyer in India. To become a lawyer, one must first complete three-year or five-year LLB from a recognised university and possess degree certificate. Then, they must enrol themselves in local Bar Council of the concerned state and enrolled as an advocate. Within two years of the enrolment, they must appear and clear AIBE in order to be eligible to practise anywhere in India.
The BTech Mechanical Engineering syllabus is not the same across all colleges, as every college committee sets a particular coursework pattern at the start of every academic year to be followed for the respective batch. The University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM) is the first state private University in the field of Science and Technology in entire north-east India. It was established in 2008 and is sponsored by the Education Research and Development Foundation (ERDF), Guwahati. The University is approved by UGC and AICTE.
