B.Sc. (Hons.) in Zoology - Batch of 2024

I suggest students take admission only if they want a degree.
Placements: There is no placement support as far as I know. Maybe there are some, but they are only for sales. There is no internship support. If students take admission in this college, then don't expect these. Many students I know are personally engaged in other activities apart from attending college. This college is good if students only want a degree and are engaged in some extracurricular activities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not well-maintained. It is an absolute wreck and on the verge of falling down in some parts. It is only a place where we can get a degree. It does not provide a hostel facility because many students here are local residents.
Faculty: Teachers are somewhat supportive in some cases, but talking about knowledge, I absolutely doubt it. The course curriculum is relevant in most semesters. It offers only bookish knowledge and no practical exposure. The difficulty level of exams is somewhat moderate for me, and the pass percentage is 30 percent.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2026

Decent college for B.Com with good campus life and basic industry exposure.
Placements: Around 60% of B.Com students from our batch were placed. The highest package offered about 7 LPA, the lowest package about 2 LPA. Top recruiters, including KPMG, HDFC Bank. 50% of students secured internships, mainly in accounting firms. Top roles offered were account executive and audit assistant.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the B.Com department is quite decent. Classrooms are clean, equipped with a projector, but there is no availability of Wi-Fi, and the library is also quite decent. There is only one computer lab for students to use, which can be improved later. There is no facility of hostel facility at our college.
Faculty: Faculty members are generally qualified, but the teaching approach is mostly theoretical. Some professors are helpful and clear in their explanations, while others lack engagement. The curriculum is basic and covers all core commerce subjects, but it needs to be updated to include more practical and industry-relevant topics. Semester exams are manageable with regular study. The passing percentage is high, around 75 to 80%.
Other: I chose to become because it provides a wide range of career opportunities, with a strong foundation in business and finance. I wish the course had more industry exposure and practical sessions. The extra-curricular activities and events, or FEAT, make campus life engaging.

This college made my future bright.
Placements: Out of total, 98% of students got placed. Students got 6-7 LPA offered on average and 9 LPA highest. 90% of students got an internship in writing and editing, journalism, media, mass communication, translation, teaching, civil services, HR, marketing, and executive roles.
Infrastructure: Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, has a number of facilities and infrastructure, including smart classes: all classrooms have smart boards, Wi-Fi: the university has Wi-Fi, a library: the university has a library, digital classrooms: the university has digital classrooms, seminar halls: the university has seminar halls, sports facilities: the university has sports facilities, a canteen: the university has a canteen, wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot: the university has a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot, separate water filters: each department has its own water filters, and lifts: the university has 12 lifts for students. The university also encourages extracurricular activities, such as festivals, competitions, and cultural events.
Faculty: All the teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable too. Their teaching qualities are knowledge and expertise, enthusiasm, well-organized, and excellent communication skills. In the case of courses where the performance of the learner is evaluated on the basis of Internal Assessment and Semester End Examination, the learner to pass a course will have to obtain a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate for each course where the course consists of Internal Assessment and Semester End Examination.
Other: Interests: I might have chosen the course because of my interests, hobbies, or a specific experience. For example, I might have chosen a course in environmental science if I enjoyed spending time in nature as a child. Career goals: I might have chosen the course because it aligns with my career goals. You could discuss how the course will prepare me for my career and what career milestones I hope to achieve. Develop skills: A BA Honours degree can help me develop skills like independent learning, research, problem-solving, communication, and critical thinking. Explore disciplines: A BA degree allows me to explore multiple disciplines and gain in-depth knowledge of my chosen domain. Versatile career: BA graduates are often sought after in a variety of professions, including education, law, media, and business.

B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science - Batch of 2022
2.6

I am not satisfied with the studied in Chas College, Chas.
Placements: I have completed my graduation from Chas College Chas. No students have been placed in Political Science. There is no package available for Political Science students. There are few placements in our Chas College Chas. There will be placements next year.
Infrastructure: There are a total of three teachers in our faculty. Library and classroom facilities are available here. Hostel facilities are not available at Chas College Chas, but there is a canteen, although it has also been closed now. We do not have medical facilities here, but there are facilities for sports like football, cricket, and archery.
Faculty: The study style is quite good, but there are no regular classes here. The curriculum does not prepare the students for the industry. The curriculum here is not suitable enough to prepare the students for the industry. Semester exams have become much tougher than before. Earlier, the passing percentage here was around 75, but in these two years, this percentage has declined.
Other: I had a lot of interest in Political Science, so I chose Political Science. The best thing about Political Science is that we get a lot of information about old ideas and learn new ideas. I want us to pay more attention to the ideas given by thinkers in Political Science and apply them in our day-to-day discussions.

Review of Chas College, Chas.
Placements: Our college did not provide good placements. A few students got jobs. Sometimes, some students get offers from local companies. This college was only for your regular degree, not for your job.
Infrastructure: Our college provided good infrastructure. Wi-Fi was available throughout the campus. Labs were good. All instruments were available. Classrooms were very spacious. The library was available. Many books were available in the library.
Faculty: Our teachers varied from department to department. There were some departments, such as the physics department, the chemistry department, the bio department, etc., where teachers were excellent, well-experienced, and knowledgeable. Some department teachers were not good like the arts departments. The course curriculum was relevant. Exams were held on time. The pass percentage was 85%.
Other: It was an affordable college. If you want a degree in your subject but not a job and have the skill to manage your course curriculum by yourself, then this college is for you.

Review of Chas College, Chas.
Placements: There were no placements in our course. There were no companies that visited our campus for recruitment. Internships were also not offered in our college. Students can prepare for any government or non-government exams along with graduation.
Infrastructure: Our campus was Wi-Fi enabled. Laboratory was also available. It also provides a good library, and you can issue books for your personal or study. Hostel conditions were good but due to the rural area, water problem creates health issue. But you can buy mineral water from any merchant.
Faculty: Teachers were excellent in our college. They were well-qualified in their subjects. They also help students with their doubts. Semester exams were hard. The passing percentage was 30-40%.
Other: I opted for this course because after post-graduation you will be eligible for a teaching career.
