My thoughts about my college.
Placements: Various placement companies like Bayer Crop Science approached the graduate students of our college, and the candidates were shortlisted according to their performances at the time of the interview. But the salary package for these was very low, so many of the students do not show interest.
Infrastructure: The hostels are well-aerated and with good ventilation. There is a proper facility for food and electricity. Also, there is a canteen in front of the college for the staff and the students. Students are actively involved in games and other sports activities.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and are very humble and helpful. They guide us properly about the various scopes of the subject chosen by the students. There were exams first in the middle of the semester and then at the end of the semester. There are smart classrooms in the college.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have a keen interest in Soil Science and want to become a soil scientist.

It is a peaceful college for students.
Placements: Around 150 students get placed every year. Bayer and Insecticide were the top recruiting companies. Agriculture field officer and agriculture development officer roles were offered to students.
Infrastructure: Our college had a 3-floor building that included a seminar hall, auditorium, photoshop lab, and classrooms fully furnished with projectors and 24 hours electricity. It had Asia's 2nd largest library named Nehru Library. The hostel fee was Rs.1800 for 6 months and food was served at Rs.25. There was a ground for volleyball, a girls' center for athletics, and a table tennis board at the mess.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were top-rated, knowledgeable, and helpful in every way. The course curriculum was relevant and understood practically by visiting the field. The minimum pass CGPA was 4.5 CGPA. The level of examination was average for good students.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest. Our college provided scholarships of Rs.6,000 for 6 months for the top 100 students. The best thing about our course is it matches my basic living agriculture.

It is good for mediocre students but not suitable for toppers as it will suppress your intelligence.
Placements: Placements are totally dependent on what you do during your college time. If you only enjoy and waste time, then you have to suffer in the end. However, if you both enjoy and work hard, then you will definitely get a good job. Most of the students do not have faith in placements, and they are inclined towards government jobs. Very few companies visited here to provide placements. You have to opt for off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not well developed here. When I took admission, there was no library and playgrounds. However, if you compare it with today, you can see the difference. The library is established, but there are still many problems like no Wi-Fi facility and playgrounds. The food provided is of very good quality and much better than normal mess food.
Faculty: The curriculum is huge. In each semester, there are 8-9 subjects. Most of them are relevant, and just 2-3 are boring. Teachers are not supportive at all, and they have knowledge but don't know how to teach students. So you have to learn on your own. Semester exams are tough, and you have to prepare properly to secure good marks. The pass percentage differs in different subjects.
Other: Due to a lack of proper infrastructure, there is no focus on cultural activities. There are no clubs, fests, events, etc. Scholarships are also provided to academically top 15-16 students in every semester. Scholarships provided are Rs. 4,000 for boys and Rs. 7,000 for girls.
