It is an amazing college. Everyone should definitely join this college.
Placements: B.Tech. in Biotechnology is a highly demanded course. There are 50% of students are placed after taking this course. The minimum salary of a biotechnology engineer is 10 LPA. Top companies are Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, etc. It provides skills development. Students develop practical knowledge, critical thinking, quantitative aptitude, and conceptual skills.
Infrastructure: Our course mainly focuses on agriculture biotechnology. So agriculture-based infrastructure is high. It provides Wi-Fi, a library, different types of laboratories, and facilitated classrooms. The hostel is good. It provides a mess and canteen at food affordable rates.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very superb. The minimum qualification for every teacher is PhD. Semester exams are not that much difficult. We get a moderate-level question paper. 50% score is safe. There are regular semester exams at the end of a semester. There are retakes of exams for students who may have failed or need to improve their grades.
Other: Biotechnology is a highly relevant and developing course worldwide. In India, it is still improving. In our college, all extracurricular activities are occured. My college gives importance to both academic and extracurricular activities.

Really great course. Highly recommend.
Placements: Campus placement is very low. You'll have to write a government exam or apply for interviews on your own. But jobs in the public sector and private sector are plenty, so it won't be that hard to get a job if you have decent grades, and there is still placement in companies like Cadbury, Reliance, Tata, etc. It'll be great since it's a very diverse field, and you'll get jobs from pharmaceuticals to food companies. Also, you could do UPSC; many people do that too.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is very good, but hostel infrastructure is only okay-ish. There is Wi-Fi, labs for every department, and a huge library. Well-maintained toilets are there. The UG building for B.Sc. Agriculture is new, and it's all well-kept. Classrooms have projectors, platforms, and podiums, and each class has like 4 or 5 ACs too.
Faculty: From the 2024 batch onwards, the syllabus has changed according to the Sixth Dean Commission, and according to the course, it got easier under the new NEP. It's more of a skill-oriented course now, and you'll have a lot to do more than studying. You'll get hands-on experience in major agriculture aspects and related fields. It's a very good course, giving you peace of mind. We have theory classes for 100 minutes a day, practical for 90 minutes, and another 90 minutes for fieldwork. That's how our classes are going in Semester 1. Also, there is an all-India tour in the 3rd year. All the facilities are amazing, and they all have doctorates.
Other: Well, I chose this course by chance when I didn’t get admission to medical, but there’s no reason for having any regret. This course is also the best there is, and you'll have a lot of fun studying and spending time with your friends in the fields in the mud. It'll be like how it was in childhood again. Right now, I don’t feel anything should improve; it’s the best there is. Events are wonderful here, and seniors are great. They're very supportive, encouraging, and helpful. We have a very good cricket pitch where India vs. Australia U19 took place in 2008, and we have an indoor stadium.

Unlock opportunities for agriculture through KAU.
Placements: I am in my final year (2021 batch). The percentage of placements is nearly 10%. Mostly placements are for B.Tech biotechnology students in the college. For B.Sc. hons agriculture, it is basically more of research oriented. So there won't be any placements like B.Tech programs. But you get opportunities to get into farm officer posts and other companies if your performance is good. If you could clear PSC, UPSC IBPS, and various posts are there for agri graduates.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not really that bad. There are enough facilities for accommodation for both girls and boys. The food is also quite good and mess is run by students themselves. The lab facilities are also good but still, developments are needed as many equipment aren't properly working. There is enough exposure to the field during the course period.
Faculty: Teachers are really qualified and friendly. They really encourage students to pursue a writing career. The classes are of good quality with English as the medium of communication. The current syllabus is entirely updated with subjects like artificial intelligence and nanotechnology. The field exposure and skill development courses are also added to the new curriculum.
Other: The campus life is really worth each penny compared with the same courses offered in other universities and private colleges outside Kerala. There are enough campus fests and programs that make students engaged and stress-free from academics. There are opportunities for arts and music on the eco-friendly campus.

I am satisfied with our course.
Placements: Placements are not happening in our college. If they do, only 10–20% of students get benefits. If anyone gets a placement offer, they can only offer a salary package with a range of 2 LPA to 3 LPA. Top roles such as agri officer, agri manager, and soil tester. Our course has a career scope in agri-research stations, banking, professorships, and other fields.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure facilities of our college are developing. Wi-Fi is average. Our labs are good and smart classrooms are available. The library is the best part of this college. Hostel facilities are average. The food in the hostel is of the student's choice. Canteen food is of average quality.
Faculty: There is a shortage of faculty. Available teachers are very good and knowledgeable. There is a relevant curriculum modeled by ICAR. It makes students ready for industry. Semester exams are easy. The pass percentage for this course is 60% for the general category and reserved classes, it is about 50%.
Other: I have a keen interest in agriculture. The course is more practical-oriented. One suggestion for our course is to increase the availability of faculty members. Every year, the college conducts arts and sports fests.

A place which was gifted by a king for the students to pursue their agricultural future.
Placements: Every district has a post of Agriculture Officer which is recruited through Psc and also there is a post of soil survey officer. Many banks comes in the college for recruitment. The college also offers internship opportunities
It also offers seminars for examination for CAT exam etc. Most of the students pursue their M.Sc. as there are various subjects in which you can pursue your M.Sc. .
Infrastructure: As the main building was the queen's summer palace once the newly build buildings adopted a palace structure. All class and the labs are provided with a smart class. The Library is provided with WI-FI. The college has a very good and large ground with an indoor stadium. Training for basketball, badminton, table tennis is provided in the indoor stadium. The indoor stadium is provided with a Jim too. The college also has good labs and processing units with adequate facilities. The college has large instructional farmers and orchards wherein students get trained. It also has a very good farmhouse where outsiders can buy various seeds and plants. The girls UG hostel has 3 blocks and new blocks are coming up. Each room accommodates 3-4 people with adequate facilities. The washroom is common, about 4-5 bathrooms and 4-5 toilets in each floor. Each floor is provided with a water filter. The facilities are good and limited as it is a government college. Mess has definite menu and changes from semester to semester.
Faculty: All the teachers in the college are M.Sc. Graduates and most of them have PhDs with doctorates. The teaching quality is good. The B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture course consists of 8 semester each lasting for 6 months that's an all total of 4 years. The final year you have the Rural Agricultural Work Experience Programme. The course also consist of two study trips- A south Indian trip lasting for almost 2 weeks and a North Indian trip lasting for about 22 days. It's a great experience for the students were they visit various research institute all over the country. Each semester has two 3 examinations one mid-term exam, the final exam and the practicals with the viva. You should obtain minimum 5 O. G. P. A ( overall grade point average) to pass the course with a total of 75 percent attendance. The exams are not so difficult and ofcourse it depends on your interest in each subject.
Other: I got admission to the college via NEET. The course is interesting for those who love agriculture and you get to be close with nature. You get to interact with the farmers know their life, it's a great experience and the scope of the course is very vast. The college has a NCC naval unit which gives very good experience for the students. The campus is very vast and very beautiful. The campus is situated at the bank of vellayani kayal which gives its name. We celebrate various festivals in the campus. The course provide opportunities to develop your extracurricular skills which is a very good positive aspect of the course.

This college is nice in all aspects, and many students got placements.
Placements: In this college, this year 2025, the average package ranges from 3-4 LPA. Most of the companies are from South India and mainly from Chennai this year. 60-70% of students got placements this year. Many students got placements, and they first took a written exam and then interviews.
Infrastructure: All facilities are available here. The hostel is good. Wi-Fi is available. An indoor stadium is available. A gym is also available for fitness. The mess is available in the hostel. The food quality is good. A primary health centre is there on campus. Sports facilities are superb.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and experienced. Their teaching quality is superb. Semester exams are not too difficult for us because of teachers guidance. Exams are held on time. They first took mid term and then the semester final exam. All questions are from the syllabus.
