Hello,The fee structure for various courses at College of Engineering, Chengannur depends on the course and quota. In B.Tech, the annual tuition fee for Electrical & Electronics Engineering under general merit quota is INR 42,000 while Computer Science, CSE (AI & ML), and Electronics & Communication Engineering are charged INR 47,250 per year. Under the full-fee merit quota, the fee for EEE is INR 73,500 per year and other technical branches are INR 78,750 per year. Under the NRI quota, the fee for CSE and AI & ML is INR 1,50,000 per year and for EEE and ECE is INR 1,10,000 per year, along with a one-time refundable deposit of INR 1,25,000. The fee for M.Tech course is INR 25,000 per semester i.e. INR 50,000 per year, while the annual tuition fee for MCA course is fixed at INR 45,000. Apart from this, all courses also include library fees, examination fees, university registration, lab fees and hostel fees, which are approximately INR 15,000 to INR 25,000 extra per year.

To get admission into UG courses in College of Engineering, Chengannur, a student must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects and must have cleared the KEAM exam. Seats in B.Tech are offered on the basis of Merit, Management and NRI quota. For admission into PG courses like M.Tech, an engineering degree from a recognised institute along with a GATE score is required, while for those without GATE scores, a merit list is prepared. For MCA courses, a minimum of 50% marks in BCA, B.Tech or any graduation degree with Maths is required. All admission processes are conducted through the state government or concerned agencies. The seats for both UG and PG courses are limited and selection is entirely based on merit and entrance exams.

For one academic year, the total cost usually comes to around 10,000 to 12,000 rupees.Room Rent: About 500 to 600 per year, depending on whether it's a boys' or girls' hostel.Electricity Charges: Around 175 to 275 per year.Establishment Fee: Approximately 5,000 per year, which covers basic maintenance and services.Caution Deposit: One-time refundable deposit, 1,500 for boys and 5,000 for girls (may vary).Admission Fee: A small amount, around 250 for girls.If you're moving in for the first time, you might pay a little more initially because of the deposit, but after that, your yearly expenses stay around 10–12K rupees including basic mess and electricity. It's quite economical for a government college, and the facilities are decent for the price.
