What is a good GATE rank?

Another question that bothers students is what can be considered a good rank regarding the GATE 2025 exam. For most of the engineering branches, a rank under 200 will confirm a call from PSU, while a rank under 1,000 has a good chance of getting your preferred branch in IITs or NITs.

Candidates must remember that a good GATE score doesn’t guarantee a job at PSU or the IITs. Most PSUs and IITs conduct interviews and GD before finalizing a candidate. All candidates must prepare for GD and PI along with the GATE so they don’t get disappointed even after getting a good rank in the exam.
