Absolute trash when it comes to teaching, infrastructure maintenance, and placements.
Placements: Fun fact is that there are no active campus placements for ECE students. A maximum of 2–3 students get placed from the department every year. If you are looking for placements, it is better to go for off-campus opportunities. The lowest package offered by companies for other departments, such as CSE, is around 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not maintained properly. There are no official college hostel facilities, but there are some college-approved hostels that are mostly like paying guest accommodations or rented houses. Classrooms do not even have projectors, which are now a common facility in most schools in Kerala.
Faculty: All teachers seem qualified based on their degrees, but many of them lack adequate knowledge of the subjects they teach. Finding helpful and dedicated teachers is rare. Students have to rely on themselves by pursuing internships, attending workshops, and learning subjects through other sources.
Other: Even though the teaching, infrastructure, and hostel facilities are not very good, the technical fest is above average. Bringing placement opportunities for ECE and other courses would make a huge difference. That is unlikely to happen unless the quality of teaching improves.

In this college, there are good placements.
Placements: Electronics and computer engineering is a sub-branch of the Electronics and Communication Department. For this course, the college provided 30 seats. This course combines both electronics and computer engineering, so we can choose both career options in electronics and computer engineering.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. The college has well-settled labs and good classrooms with projectors and flipboards. All classrooms have cameras. The canteen is average. All food is good and budget-friendly except for biryani. Near the college, there are too many hostels, so no worries.
Faculty: The faculty and course couldn't make students industry-ready. They just help with basic knowledge. In Perumon College, there are some good, responsible faculty members and some irresponsible ones. Students could not care about the faculty. They just study what the course chooses and make themselves industry-ready.
Other: In this college, what we have to say is the best is the only "events." The college events are awesome.

College gives importance to studies, arts, and sports.
Placements: Top recruiting companies include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package offered is 4 LPA, and it ranges from 1 LPA to 4 LPA. The percentage of students getting internships is 70%. More than 80% of students get placed with above an 8 CGPA. Software development roles are offered at the top.
Infrastructure: The college does not have its hostels but offers many PGs recognized by the college. The conditions are pretty good and provide a homely feel. There are sports teams, music bands, and tech fests held every year. There is a library at the admin office and the depth libraries are found separately. Classrooms are well-equipped. The overall infrastructure is well-built and maintained.
Faculty: There are enough faculty members for all subjects. Each semester includes two internal exams. Semester exams tend to be a little difficult, which is quite normal with teachers' notes and support. The pass percentage is at most 80%. The teachers in every department are very helpful and often assist in solving doubts. The course curriculum is not very relevant, but extra training on industry standards is provided by the faculty based on self-interest, and mentorship is also available.
Other: I chose this course because of my strong interest in the field and the opportunities it offers. The college organizes tech fests like advyka which is well planned and executed. Our college doesn't have a hostel of its own. Establishing a hostel facility should be a priority.

Overall, the college is excellent. It is highly recommended.
Placements: I am from 2022-26 batch student, studying electronics and communication at the College of Engineering Perumon. Almost 50% of students get placed every year. The starting package offered depends on the company. Everyone gets internships in different companies.
Infrastructure: Our college is developed. It contains several latest technologies. The canteen serves us with good food and services. Currently, the college does not provide a Wi-Fi facility. Labs are beneficial for us. This college also has NBA accreditation.
Faculty: Teachers are very much friendly and supportive. Almost all teachers in the College of Engineering Perumon are doctorates in their stream. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready. We own the second rank in pass percentage in Kollam.
Other: I chose this course for many reasons. The course is very interesting when we go into depth. The things I thought to improve about the course are a few time gaps for exams offered by AKTU. But later, it was also changed. The campus is fully on for programs.

It is quite good in sports, games, and extracurricular activities.
Placements: Above 75% of students are placed in our college. The lowest salary offered in our college ranges from Rs. 25,000-30,000 per month. The highest salary offered in our college is above Rs. 60,000 per month. Many top recruiting companies visit our college for placements like Infosys, TCS, UST, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are quite good and normal in our college. Wi-Fi in our college is slightly slow. It has hostel facilities, canteen and mess. Sports and games are good. Sports also have a high priority in our college. Hostels are also available nearby.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful to students. They are knowledgeable and qualified. Some semesters are much difficult and some of them are normal or easier. The course curriculum is not almost relevant to students. Teachers share many notes for study materials.
Other: I chose this course ECE because it includes hardware and software fields. There are good opportunities for placements in this course. Events, fests, and extracurricular activities organised in our college are quite good and awesome.

The college is good and the programs and teaching are too notch, placement is the only demerit.
Placements: Currently, placements at the college are quite poor; few reputable core companies come to recruit here. The placement rate is less than 10% in our branch, with the highest package at 6 lakhs, an average package of 3 lakhs, and the lowest package at 2 lakhs. Mostly IT companies, like Cognizant, are recruiting for our placements, and we are doing paid internships at Keltron. The main roles offered are not high-level positions, but rather entry-level engineer roles.
Infrastructure: We have good infrastructure facilities, including well-equipped classrooms and labs. Wi-Fi is available for students for academic purposes only. The library has a sufficient collection of books. Currently, there is no college hostel, as it is under construction. The private hostels offer varying levels of amenities. The canteen provides good quality food, and basic medical facilities are available. Sports and games are quite active.
Faculty: Our teachers are very experienced and qualified, demonstrating professionalism in their teaching. The quality of instruction is high, but our course curriculum does not prepare students adequately for the industry; this is an issue with the university, rather than the college itself. Our college ranks third in our district for pass percentage, and a very good proportion of students succeed in their courses, although semester exams are challenging.
