B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) - Batch of 2027

Good placements and a helpful facility. Decent campus life with strong job options.
Placements: Placements in our batch are good, with around 70 percent of students getting placed through campus drives. The average package of our college is 5 to 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Infosys, Capgemini, TCS, PwC, JP Morgan, and Cognizant. Top roles offered in my course are cybersecurity analyst and security Engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for our course is modern and well maintained with facilities such as smart classrooms, dedicated computer labs, Wi-Fi, a department library, and seminar halls. The campus is clean and spacious with greenery. The hostel facility is satisfactory with average mess food but hygienic and there are sports facilities.
Faculty: The faculty members in this course are qualified and supportive. Most teachers have a good command of their subjects and are helpful in clearing the doubts. The curriculum is JNTU affiliated curriculum, with theory and practical lab sessions. Semester exams are moderately difficult but scoring is possible with good preparation.

It will be a great college, if given more freedom to students.
Placements: Mostly 70 to 80 percent of students got placed in the passing out batch. The highest package is not listed anywhere but the off campus one is 72LPA and is displayed in website. We get around 33 LPA the highest and 3.5 LPA the lowest. Commvault and Oracle are top package and Infosys and Cognizant are for mass hiring. Usually, internships are offered in the 4th year only and one student got in JPMC from the third year. The top roles offered are Software Development or Testing roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty new in all the labs except for some labs, which have older computers. The Ethernet works fine but the Wi-Fi is slow. There is a large library with a wide selection of available books. The hostel is good, and the food provided is decent. We have a large cricket ground but it is not used very often. We have a small indoor sports area with table tennis tables. There is one basketball court and a place to play volleyball and football. A new Auditorium is being constructed.
Faculty: Apart from a few teachers all are well qualified teachers with a great grip on the subject. The course curriculum is new and relevant but very slow according to industry standards, which need to include more advanced topics. The semester exams are easy, and the pass percentage is above 80 percent.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in programming and computers. Building new software is interesting. I wish there is industry level training from 1st year only rather than at the time of placements. The campus is far from the city and there is nothing interesting to hang out in the surroundings of the college. The college conducts events only once a year and annually. Fest is only once every two years. There are very few extracurricular activities and one cannot even do other activities while classes are going on. Very few holidays are provided and saturdays are working days. Any sudden holidays are compensated on other days. Even on Sunday.

Not much worth for this huge amount of money.
Placements: Placements are average at best. They are not up to the mark, going down batch by batch, which may result in a drop in the college ranking among various campuses as a result of competition. So, looking forward to getting more placements placed is better.
Infrastructure: The hostel is the worst ever. It is a nightmare. The food is eww, and we don't need to talk about it because it is a waste of time. Can't even go for a pleasurable wash time in the morning. It's the worst thing in the whole hostel combined, and the public toilets are too few in number.
Faculty: Regarding faculty, they are giving their best in each and every class. There is no issue with the faculty. They do try their best, but a few of them are PPT readers only, which is the biggest drawback of the whole college. Students fail to grasp the content.

Good college with good placements.
Placements: Placements are good in CVR College of Engineering. Companies like Oracle, Capgemini, and other service-based and product-based companies come to the college to hire. Generally, they hire for roles like data analyst, software developer, web developer, etc. This year, the highest package of our college is 72 LPA.
Infrastructure: In this college, we have facilities like AC labs, Wi-Fi-enabled campus, cricket ground, library, health center, sports complex, etc. The quality of these facilities is good, and the food in the hostel mess and canteen is also good, tasty, and hygienic. Every year, the college conducts EPL, which stands for Engineering Premiere League.
Faculty: In this college, teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They regularly interact with students and help them work on their weaknesses. The curriculum in CS is industry-relevant and helps you get ready for a job. The pass percentage of this college is more than 90 percent.
Other: Nowadays, software jobs are high-paying, so I chose this course. This course covers all the curriculum that you need and makes you ready for a job. Every year, we have one event where we celebrate annual day and traditional day. For 2 years, we have an event named Ciencia.

Good infrastructure and facilities with balanced maintenance.
Placements: Top roles offered by CSE are software developer, Java developer, Python developer. They also offer data analyst, frontend developer who has more knowledge of JS, React, and Express. Backend developers, Programmers who have high knowledge of coding and problem-solving on DSA are in demand.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are good compared to other colleges. Clean and hygienic with a comfortable environment, also maintained CCTV footage for security purposes. Mess food is also fine. We can eat. They prepare it very hygienically, and they provide chicken two times and eggs three times weekly.
Faculty: In our college, semester exams are not difficult. They contain both concepts, theory parts, and practicals like problems, applications, and experiments. The pass percentage of our college is also good, with consistent results. Results also come as fast as possible.
Other: In my college, events and fests are conducted. The campus crowd is not very large. Good connectivity, green surroundings, scholarships are fine. Eligible students receive them. Extracurricular activities are also conducted for students in my college.

College is good if you are a sincere student.
Placements: At CVR College of Engineering, around 78-80% of eligible students get placed each year, with recent packages ranging from the highest of 33 LPA (and even a reported 72 LPA in 2024-25) to an average of 7-8 LPA, while the lowest packages generally fall in the 3-4 LPA range. Top recruiters include Commvault, Oracle, Cadence, GAP, Amazon, Infosys, TCS Digital, Capgemini, and several product-based companies, and many students also secure paid internships with firms like Commvault, Oracle, and Cadence, offering a stipend of 40,000-50,000 per month. The most common roles offered are Software Developer, SDE, and Data/Business Analyst.
Infrastructure: CVR College of Engineering offers strong infrastructure with well-equipped classrooms, 100+ modern laboratories, and campus-wide Wi-Fi, along with a large, dedicated three-storey library that provides extensive physical and digital resources, including IEEE and other premium journals. The campus also includes a four-storey student centre with a gym, canteen, indoor games, placement office, and a medical centre, while sports facilities include cricket, basketball, volleyball, and indoor games; hostel facilities are decent with Wi-Fi, regular cleaning, renovated bathrooms, and a mess that students generally rate as good with a weekly variety.
Faculty: At CVR College of Engineering, most faculty members are well-qualified and experienced, with many holding postgraduate degrees or PhDs, and students generally find the teachers helpful, approachable, and good at explaining concepts, leading to strong teaching quality overall. The curriculum is regularly updated under JNTU-H guidelines and includes labs, projects, coding practices, and industry-oriented subjects that help students become job-ready, especially in CSE and ECE. Semester exams are moderately difficult, with internal assessment and lab exams helping students prepare, and while JNTUH university exams can sometimes be challenging and evaluation may feel strict, the college maintains a strong academic environment.
