Established in 2012, Dev Bhoomi Institute of Polytechnic (DBIP) is a private institute which is located in Dehradun. It is an integral part of Dev Bhoomi Group of Institutions and affiliated to UP Board of Technical Education Roorkee (UBTER). The main objective of the institute is to promote technical education, training and personality development skills related to Polytechnic education.

The institute contributes to quality education in all major disciplines of diploma in order to meet the industry needs for trained technical manpower with practical experience and theoretical knowledge. DBIP provides strong mentoring by its dedicated team of faculty members. The institute also conducts frequent guest lectures, seminars and educational visits to enhance the skill set of the students in diverse fields. DBIP Admission Process

DBIP accepts admission applications for its diploma programmes in two modes, including online and walk-in registration. Seat reservations offered at the institute are as per the regulations of the government of Uttarakhand.

Candidates must have a valid score in UBTER JEEP to seek admission in any of the diploma courses
Selected candidates are further called for completing the admission formalities for seat allotment
Upon selection, candidates also need to submit their first installment of the course fee to confirm their admission

DBIP Courses

The institute offers UG diploma programmes in five specialisations in both regular and lateral entry mode. The regular entry courses are of three-year duration while for those opting for lateral entry, the course duration reduces to two years. DBIP Scholarships

DBIP scholarships are provided through an online registration process. For availing such benefits, candidates need to register on the official scholarship portal of the institute (www.dbgidoon.ac.in/scholarship). Scholarships 2020 assistance has been initiated by Dev Bhoomi Group of Institutes for students’ educational and personal development. These scholarships are categorised under three indices as listed below:

Academic Scholarships

Academic Scholarship worth Rs 8 Crore is awarded to the most deserving students who have enroled themselves in any of the DBIP courses before 15 May 2020. Such candidates also need to have a high aggregate in Class 12.

Uttarakhand Domicile Scholarships

This scholarship is awarded to the students who hail from Uttarakhand. It is in the form of 100 per cent fee waiver of first year’s tuition fee.

COVID Warriors Scholarships

This scholarship is for the wards of Covid-19 health workers, police and army personnel and sanitisation workers. Such students are entitled to a scholarship benefit worth Rs 3 Crore in the form of tuition fee waiver, provided they have enrolled in any of the DBIP courses before May 30, 2020.

I am satisfied with faculty members, good placements, infrastructure, and facilities.

Placements: Our college has a high rate of placement. Most students are placed at many good firms. The college provides many opportunities. The college gives us industrial visits. More than 75% of students are placed. Top recruiting companies like Amazon, Deloitte, Infosys, Nestlé, etc., visit our campus.

Infrastructure: The campus is very good. We have well-equipped computer labs with network connections. Our classrooms are huge and every classroom has an overhead projector. Every student has an ID, and in every hostel, students get Wi-Fi for their use. The canteen is spacious, and seating is available.

Faculty: Our teachers are qualified. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are a bit tough, but all things are taught to us thoroughly. The pass percentage is 30%. Our teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is excellent and every month, there is a teacher feedback session to improve their teaching.

The college gives good placements.

Placements: About 75% of students were placed in this course. The highest package is 28 LPA and the lowest is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Flipkart, Lenskart, etc. About 75% of students got internships in companies like Reliance, Flipkart, etc. Some got placed in power houses.

Infrastructure: According to the requirements, we have labs such as a chemistry lab, physics lab, workshop lab, and many more. The classroom has good infrastructure, and we have a campus with Wi-Fi facilities. The food in the hostel is of average quality, and we have full medical facilities.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They teach in a very good manner so that a student can easily understand. The course makes students industry-ready. We do practicals in labs. Semester exams are conducted to a good standard to build up students.

I recommend this college for the middle class people and the campus is average.

Placements: About 80-90% of students were placed in my course. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA, the average salary package offered was 5 LPA - 6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA - 3 LPA. Companies generally come for all branch students but they select more students of mechanical. We are selected with the B. Tech students also. But the placements of our course are not very good but average.

Infrastructure: The facilities in our college are pretty good. Labs, classrooms, and libraries are sufficient. Wi-Fi is accessible only in labs with a slow connection. The hostels are good for those who come from rural areas. But not for urban. Mess food is rated as 6/10. There is a canteen and 1 cafeteria. An Ayurveda hospital is also available. For sports, cricket, kabbadi, badminton, basketball, and volleyball group are also available.

Faculty: In our college, the teachers are helpful to us. They are knowledgeable and also they motivate us about our future. The difficulty of semester exams is high. The exams are hard for everyone but the pass percentage is low at 23%. So we are easily passing the exam and it is good for all.

Other: I chose this course because I don't have any other option. I am in the 1st year so I want more practical lectures. Events are good. The campus crowd is average, neither so high nor so less.

Dev Bhoomi Group of Institutions offers three types of Scholarships-

Awarded to the students based on the qualifying exam merit which they posses-

Student Who Gets In Between 75 - 80% Will Get 15% Of Scholarship in Tution Fee.

FEE WAIVER SCHEME:-

A scholarship of up to 25% (Per Year) on the tuition fees shall be awarded to the students who have their permanent address (DOMICILE) in Uttarakhand.

A scholarship of 5% (Per Year) on the tuition fees for the girl child to support the academic pursuits of meritorious and talented girls.

A scholarship of Up to 25%(First Year on Tution Fee) to support the meritorious and talented Students of Himachal, J&K, North East, Darjiling.

A scholarship of 5% (Per Year) on the tution fees shall be awarded to the wards of the soldiers who lost their lives for the country.

A scholarship of 5% (Per Year) on the tuition fees will be provided to the talented athletes with their exceptional performance at the national, state and university levels
