I am dissatisfied with the curriculum.
Placements: Almost 10 percent of students get placed (mostly girls for an HR role). In my course, many students prefer to do a job after their master's. It provides a job with low pay, and I am disappointed with placements. I asked a professor for a job, and they said that in today's AI market, jobs are not available in technology. It is better to search for an off-campus job. The average package offers range from 2-3 LPA, or they do not share information about it. The TCS company hires students, and a girl who is selected for an HR role shared this information with me. I know everyone, and not one person got an internship from any company in college. The HR role is offered to students.
Infrastructure: The college does not have a hostel or mess facility. Mostly, students travel to college daily. For administrative work, they provide a good office, and for practicals, there is an AC lab with computers. For studies, there are normal classrooms with a fan and basic equipment like a board and light. In the BCA department, there is 1 office, 4 classrooms, and 1 practical room with basic facilities like Wi-Fi, fan, light, and whiteboards. In a practice room, 30 computers are working. They don't have an inverter, so they depend on the electricity.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified. They are hired as private tutors. They are helpful. The course curriculum is not relevant. I think the course curriculum has not changed since they started BCA. Semester exams are easy to moderate. Almost everyone qualifies. I do not think in my course anyone has failed in any subject in any semester (they pass every one). For 2 years in a batch, 17 students are in BCA, and after that, no one has.
Other: I chose this course because I want to get a degree to gain tech knowledge. The best thing about this course is that we get a tech degree, and always in the market, we have a Rs. 15,000 per month job ready. It takes a Rs. 60,000 fee and every semester Rs. 10,000. The course curriculum is not relevant in today's market, and I want to upgrade it. The college organises a few events. The campus crowd is the best. It does not conduct extracurricular activities.
