Really good academics and facilities.
Placements: The placement in our course was not offered mostly. There were no companies that recruit doctors via campus placement. The salary offered after completing BDS was around 10 LPA. You also got mandatory internship offers. The top role offered in our course was dentist.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our course was good. The labs were well-equipped with instruments and equipment. The library was well-furnished and had a modern design. The hostel quality of our college was also good, and there were limited sports facilities.
Faculty: Professors of our course were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality of our faculty members was good. The course curriculum was relevant to our degrees. We learned from real-life examples and provided solutions. The semester examination was a little tough.

Completely satisfied with the facilities and placements that were held last year. (2024)
Placements: Around 80 to 90% of students secure placement each year. The highest package offered is 20 LPA, the average package is 6 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Deloitte, KPMG, Infosys, Accenture, and Amazon. Approximately 70 to 85% of students secure internships at companies like TCS, Cognizant, Oracle, IBM, and others. Top roles include project manager, financial analyst, marketing manager, and business development manager.
Infrastructure: Modern, well-maintained classrooms equipped with audiovisual tools and LCD projectors. Both physical and digital libraries feature vast collections of books. Computer labs offer Wi-Fi access. Facilities include a cafeteria and a sports complex. Hostels provide well-furnished rooms with attached bathrooms, study tables, and essential furniture. Hostels prioritize hygiene with daily cleaning, offer nutritious food with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, 24/7 medical services, and student security.
Faculty: Teachers are supportive and helpful in both academically and placement-related activities. All the teachers are knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields with high-quality teaching. The course curriculum is relevant, and exposure to many industrial visits, projects, and workshops, makes the students industry-ready. Really good infrastructure, good patient flow, and very good in terms of studies and practice.
Placements: BDS is a course where there are no such placements. But the college provides a good base for learning as it is good in patient flow. The more the number of patients, the better the practice. It is located in the heart of Bengaluru city. Maximum no. of Hindi-speaking patients.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent. Huge campus and the best environment. You will love the infrastructure because you'll get amazing pictures. The hospital block has a lift, so it is very convenient. Patients are cooperative as the amount charged is much less for the treatment.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. The curriculum is the same as mentioned on the RGUHS website. Exams happen once a year, but there are internal assessments once in every 2 months. So, 3 internals and one main final exam per year. But the exams are better to check your own knowledge.
Other: Events happen once a year.

Good college with decent facilities.
Placements: Our Dayananda Sagar College is a reputed college that provides a high placement percentage. In our course, the placement percentage is 91 percent. The highest package offered is 33 lakhs, the lowest package is 4 to 9 lakhs, and the average package is 13 to 16 lakhs. Recruiting companies include Smile Dental Care, Apollo and Sri Ram Hospital. The roles include dentist. Internship opportunities are good with 69 percent.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure at DSI are good. The college has well-equipped labs, classrooms with smart boards, and a library with books for all courses. They also have sports facilities and a canteen that serves good food, though it is a bit expensive.
Faculty: The teachers at this college are very helpful. They are qualified with high-level degrees, including doctorates, and are very knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant to the field of dentistry, and the courses progress from basic to advanced. The course exams are difficult, with a passing rate of only 86%. Absolutely satisfied with DSU.
Placements: 75% students were placed in our course. 2.5 LPA and 1.5 LPA are the packages offered in our course, Clinical pharmacologist and RA are the top roles offered. The percentage has recently increased as in the placement as well. We also have course and CPA programs that help us build extracurricular activities.
Infrastructure: The facilities are quite good in our labs and all the machinery works well in the labs. The quality of the hostel is quite good and the food is not upto the mark but comparatively it’s quite a good hostel. The facilities and sports activities are quite good.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and knowledgeable and they could give us more training regarding competitive exams. The curriculum is quite relevant. The exams are tough and 95% is the passing percentage. The course does make the students ready for industry or for the hospital.
Other: The course was recommended by my senior because she had benefited quite well from this course and so she recommended this course to me. The curriculum should also include a hospital setting based study and project work.

Placements: Our college provides good placements. Around 90% of students got placed from this course. The highest package offered is 10 lakhs per year. As experience increases, the payment has increased for many students; the lowest package is 5 lakhs per year, and the average package is 7 lakhs per year. Top recruiting companies like Henry Schein Inc., Align Technology, and many others visit here. Many students got internships from companies like Colgate-Palmolive, Zimmer Biomet, etc. Top roles offered are dentist, dental surgeon, etc., in both private and government sectors.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good facilities and infrastructure. Our college has a cafeteria, and canteen facilities are available. Wi-Fi facilities are very good, and classrooms are maintained neatly. The library has plenty of books, and we can also use the digital library. The hostel facilities are good; they provide hygienic and tasty food with a variety of options daily. The canteen is also available where students can gather in their free time and have a meal. Medical facilities are also good, with a hospital nearby. Sports and games are supported, and they encourage participation in inter-college sports events.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and well-qualified. They are professional and knowledgeable, able to clarify our doubts even in their cabins. The teaching quality is good; they provide us with notes that are more than enough to pass the exams. Some teachers are very friendly. This makes the curriculum relevant for students and prepares them for the industry. The exams are a bit difficult; some technical questions are asked, but studying diligently can help you achieve good marks and ranks.

The latest cutoff information for MDS in oral medicine at DSI- Dayananda Sagar Institutions is as follows. For UR/EWS category candidates, cutoff percentage is 50% and cutoff score is 263 marks. For SC/ST/ OBC category candidates, cutoff percentage is 40% and cutoff score is 227 marks.
