Very disappointed with this college.
Placements: I passed the college 1 month ago (not official as my results have not come yet). College says they will give placements in 3 years (5th and 6th semester), but they do not give any placements to us. They sometimes give job recruitment opportunities but they are mainly for experienced people, whereas we are freshers. It is very disappointing.
Infrastructure: I am not a hostel student so I don't know about hostel facilities. But this colleges infrastructure is not up to the mark. The infrastructure is poor, bathrooms are not hygienically maintained. Classrooms are okay, although not fully clean. Overall, somewhat average.
Faculty: Not many facilities are given to us. They took money from us for lab, although they do not give us the full lab facilities (as there are no labs). They just have some computers, which don't even work properly, in the department room, but they do not even give us the opportunity to use them properly. We could just practice (can't even call that practice) before exams for 2-3 minutes, not even individually.
Other: I am a very creative person, and I know that journalism is a creative field. Although this college does not give me the opportunities to flourish my full potential.

classrooms and labs have really good infrastructure
Placements: The college isn't good as they didn't have dedicated placement cell, companies also rarely visit to recruit students. Previous year, only Dabur visit the campus to select only Food and Nutrition Department students. As the new NEP rules, some government organization proposed internships but that's also not beneficial.
Infrastructure: College location is good as you easily get auto and bus from the station. College labs are good with all the equipment needed, classrooms are also clean. Dedicated water cooler, hall room, library and canteen also available. College campus has wifi and the teachers are also very kind.
Faculty: The teachers are good, kind and very very helpful. They help us regarding our practical exam, projects, educational tour or excursion etc. This Zoology course help us to gain more knowledge about the animals, their behavior, habits etc and is perfect for me as I always wanted to study about the animal behavior.
Other: I wanted go study about the animal behavior that's why I pursue this course.

Good Faculty in English Department.
Placements: Our batch had 70 students in the English Honours course. They don't really provide packages after a Bachelor's in Arts English Honours. No internship is provided either. We have a college union which is helpful at times. They provide the necessary help inside the college campus.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel in our college. It is a government college based under the state government of West Bengal. The quality of food in the canteen is good, and it's alright for the students. There is a ground provided inside the college where we can play sports like football and cricket. Indoor sports like carrom, chess, and table tennis are also provided. The college provides free Wi-Fi as well.
Faculty: The teachers in the English department are very helpful and friendly. Semester exams are as they should be, and the exams are conducted properly. They are not impossible to pass and are quite at the level of the students. The passing mark is 30 out of 75 in the external semester exams.
Other: I was interested in studying literature, and hence it led me to choose this course. I would like to improve the pace of teaching and would love the syllabus to be completed on time and with responsibility. Recently we had a fest in our college where a famous Bengal singer, Anupam Roy, was invited to perform for the students.

Satisfied with the campus and faculty members.
Placements: 5% of students got placed. In Physics hons., there are only a few students because this is a core subject of science. Practical laboratory facilities are overall good. This type of subject do not provide opportunities for you because it's a general degree course.
Infrastructure: The classrooms, laboratories and computer labs are good. Wi-Fi is available in college and also in departments individually. There is a canteen that provides good quality food, but there are less variety of foods available. There is a big cricket and football ground in the college. Gym facilities are also available.
Faculty: Physics hons. is a difficult degree course, so questions are quite tough. The college is under WBSU. The pass percentage is 50%. Students who cannot score the pass marks can make the honors course into a general coruse. The faculty members are helpful, qualified and also knowledgeable. Their teaching is quite impressive.
Other: There should be an M.Sc. course.

Dum Dum Motijheel College is a good college.
Placements: Around 20% of the students get placed by the college. The salary offered ranges from Rs. 10,000-Rs. 69,000 per year.
The college does not provide any job offers. But they provide internship offers to the higher graded students and those who are eligible for the offers. Specifically, if you got 9 CGPA in every semester you will get that internship offers at the end of the course.
Infrastructure: The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled, though the network connection can be poor sometimes. The labs are good, although the chemistry lab is good. The library is also good. The college doesn't offer any hostel facilities. There are a lot of positive things in our college like a huge ground where we can play football and cricket. There is a common room where we can play table tennis, carrom, and chess.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly and helpful, and you can approach them and ask to clarify your doubts. Our college alumni and staff members are very disciplined and won't tolerate any miss behavior. They take steps immediately to avoid any misbehavior in the future. Semester examinations are quite tough. The pass percentage is above 60%.

I wish the college were more fun.
Placements: I'm in the 6th semester, but there are no placement facilities given to us yet, and it is frustrating. We didn't even get any internship placements. Teachers only expect us to perform well in the exam, but no internships or job placements are given to us. 0% of students got any placements.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is average. Classrooms are somewhat okay. But toilets are not in great condition. The condition of the toilets is especially poor. There's no lab for us, there are only some computers in the department, but they make us use them only when the exam is near, and we need to use them. No practical classes are being held properly.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. But some teachers give too little study material and expect too much from us. And most importantly, exams are being taken too early, not exactly the college's fault. This course, theoretically, is good, but college doesn't give us proper practical classes. They don't give us any practical classes but charges lab fee.
Other: Fest or other events are not happening from last year, which is heartbreaking. We're not given many excursions.
